Sharkoon Launches PureWriter W65 Keyboard

The PureWriter W65 combines versatility with a compact layout and efficient performance. With its dual-mode capability, the keyboard can be operated using either a wired or a 2.4 GHz wireless connection. The enhanced Choc-V2 switches from Kailh and the especially low keycaps provide the keyboard the necessary efficiency when gaming or working as well as an ultra-low height of only 2.6 cm.

Kailh Choc V2: Fast Low-Profile Switches
The improved low-profile Kailh Choc V2 switches not only give the PureWriter W65 a pleasantly flat typing sensation, but also provide a faster actuation than conventional switches. You can choose between the linear Kailh Choc V2 Red, which has neither a tactile nor an audible actuation point, and the Kailh Choc V2 Brown, which provides a tactile actuation point. Furthermore, the keyboard is equipped with factory-lubed stabilizers for optimal acoustics.
Maximum Freedom
Wired or 2.4 GHz Wireless? With the PureWriter W65, the user has the choice, and thanks to a switch on the side of the keyboard, the desired operating mode can be selected at any time, according to the situation or purpose. The USB-C cable is positioned on the top left of the keyboard to allow for more freedom of movement and can be easily removed for wireless operation. An integrated lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2,000 mAh will then provide the necessary endurance.

Customizable Illumination
The RGB illumination is something else that makes the PureWriter W65 as individual as its user. The lighting can be selected and set without the use of any software and can be saved in two lighting profiles. 18 lighting effects are available, which, depending on the effect, can be adjusted as desired according to color, intensity, direction and frequency.

All Functions on Board
The compactly sized keyboard with 68 or 69 keys has 65 percent of a conventional 3-block layout and is dimensioned at just 31.2 x 10.3 cm. However, users don't have to forgo important functions. Thanks to the clever arrangement of the keys, essential key commands as well as dedicated arrow keys are all on board.

Elegant Companion
Apart from its compact size, the keyboard comes with a low weight of only 432 grams, a stable aluminum frame, and a stylish, detachable spiral cable. Therefore, the PureWriter W65 is not only an elegant eye-catcher, but it can also be used anywhere, anytime, and is always at the ready.

The PureWriter W65 is now available in black or in white at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of 89.90 euros.

I do like the keycaps with the shine-through, more manufactures should do that (looking at you Epomaker!).

I've never typed on such a flat keyboard, except a laptop if that counts, how is the typing experience compared to a standard (normal height) keyboard?

I have the standard sharkoon purewriter and i love it. Typing on it is significantly less satisfying than the standard height mechanical keyboards but i type so much faster, it's really noticeable! and i don't need a palm rest. I use it for work and gaming.
