Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds Launching on February 28, Gets a New Launch Trailer

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28, 2025. Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest title in the Monster Hunter series and is set in a dynamically changing world that is in one moment a severe wilderness, swarming with packs of attacking monsters, and in the next transforms into a rich natural environment teeming with life. Working toward its upcoming release, Capcom is developing the game with the aim of delivering an experience that satisfies both long-time fans of the series and newcomers alike.

Monster Hunter Wilds features beautiful visuals on a grand scale made possible by Capcom's proprietary game development engine, the RE ENGINE, as well as cross-play, allowing players to enjoy the game together regardless of their game platform. In addition, Capcom will exhibit the first playable demo of the game in Japan at Tokyo Game Show 2024, which begins September 26. More than 150 playable demo stations in total will be available at the Capcom and PlayStation booths, the largest number of such in the Monster Hunter series' history at the show.
Capcom remains firmly committed to satisfying the expectations of all users by leveraging its industry leading game development capabilities in order to create highly entertaining gameplay experiences.

No so sure. Game requirements state you'll need a 4060 with frame-gen enabled for the recommended spec:

Either way that's extremely poor. People didn't like it when games required DLSS but requiring FG for 1080p and what I assume medium settings is just nuts.

I more meant, gameplay quality and it not being another steaming pile from EA/Ubi/etc who just reskin shooters 24/7.

Got ya, now that is likely. Hopefully they optimize it over time like they did the last monster hunter game.

Why is this "extremely poor"? This is a good thing. The game has massive enemies and is large scale with great visuals. It's nice to see a game take advantage of modern hardware.

Your base frame-rate needs to be at least 70 FPS in order to have a somewhat ok experience with FG. At 30 it will feel utterly terrible.
