Zyxel Networks Launches XGS1935 10GbE Managed Switch Series for SMBs

Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure and cloud-powered networking solutions, is launching its new XGS1935 series of Lite-L3 smart managed switches to meet the growing connectivity and sustainability needs of small businesses.

The XGS1935 series delivers improvements in energy efficiency and carbon emission reductions, while providing hassle-free and affordable 10GbE migration with high-performance switching technology.
Simplified to suit growing businesses
Start-ups and small businesses often find it challenging to provide seamless connectivity for the growing number of devices in the workplace—from laptops and servers to IP cameras and phones. Available in 28- and 52-gigabit port options, the XGS1935 series provides flexible and scalable networking while ensuring fast and reliable connectivity for dozens of devices simultaneously.
"The XGS1935 series meets the essential connectivity needs of small businesses by offering simple management and essential functionality, while still being affordable and more sustainable for our SMB customers," said Mr. Kell Lin, Senior Associate Vice President, Networking Strategic Business Unit, Zyxel Networks. "It removes existing network upgrade barriers that may otherwise hinder a smaller business, helping them unlock their potential with scalable, high-performance, and eco-friendly networking solutions."
The inclusion of four 10GbE SFP+ uplinks help businesses bypass network bottlenecks, while Power over Ethernet (PoE) options simplify installation by delivering both power and data through a single cable. A total power capacity of 375 W and support for PoE+ enables the XGS1935 series to meet the power demands of most connected devices, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and wireless access points. Additionally, the switches have a built-in smart fan that automatically adjusts its speed based on the internal temperature of the device, reducing noise while ensuring stable connectivity for everyday operation.

Flexible management options
Businesses that adopt the XGS1935 series will also benefit from a license-free version of Zyxel Networks' Nebula cloud management platform, for zero-touch deployment and remote network control via the web or through the app. The switch series also features standalone management with an intuitive wizard and user-friendly local web interface. This allows more in-depth configuration of capabilities such as enhanced QoS, Link Aggregation, IPv6, and IPv4/IPv6 Layer 3 static routing, without the need to learn and use a complex command line interface (CLI).

Eco-conscious innovation
Zyxel Networks is dedicated to being environmentally responsible while continuing to innovate in product design. The XGS1935 series introduces several eco-friendly improvements over its predecessor. Its compact design has reduced packaging by up to 36%, resulting in a 48% increase in units per pallet and an estimated 18.84% reduction in carbon emissions. The XGS1935 series also incorporates next-generation energy-efficient components, offering energy consumption savings of up to 18.13% compared to earlier models.

€457,99 for the 24port switch

I was almost excited to see a 24port 10GE switch at that price, but it's just the spf ports that are 10 gbit

Are there such a thing as 24 port 10 GbE RJ-45 switch? I have not seen one. The max RJ-45 ports I have seen on a 10 GbE switch are 12.

you can get the TP linkTL-SG3428X-M2
24x 2.5G and the same spf+ ports

For about the same price.

I want something with 10G ethernet over copper for a nas
something like the QNAP QSW-M2116P-2T2S but at a less insane price for a 4 year old switch

Point well taken. However, stateside the prices I'm seeing for the TP-Link TL-SG3428X-M2 currently are more in the range of ~$520 USD or about €480 which would be more then the €457,99 discussed earlier. As for the QNAP QSW-M2116P-2T2S, I'd like to have one of those too. Unfortunately it's just not worth the current retail price to me. Not saying it's not worth it, just saying it's not worth it to me at the going price.
