AGON by AOC Announces New 27-inch PRO AG276FK 520 Hz IPS Monitor

AGON by AOC - one of the world's leading gaming monitor and IT accessories brands - expands its professional gaming arsenal with the AGON PRO AG276FK, a 27-inch (68.6 cm) Full HD gaming monitor with a Fast IPS panel, featuring an impressive 520 Hz refresh rate. This latest addition to AGON PRO's ultra-high refresh rate family complements the high-performance esports models AG246FK (540 Hz) and AG256FS (390 Hz), providing competitive gamers with another powerful tool in their quest for victory.

Engineered for tournament excellence
The AGON PRO AG276FK showcases a state-of-the-art Fast IPS panel, delivering Full HD resolution (1920x1080). With its remarkable 520 Hz refresh rate and swift response times of up to 0.5 ms GtG and 0.3 ms MPRT, the AG276FK ensures crystal-clear motion clarity and minimal input lag - essential features for professional esports players who compete at the highest levels. The Full HD resolution is strategically chosen to enable competitive players to achieve and maintain the ultra-high frame rates needed to fully leverage the 520 Hz refresh rate with current-gen GPUs.
For competitive gamers, particularly in fast-paced FPS titles such as Counter-Strike 2 or Valorant, the 520 Hz refresh rate of the AG276FK translates to one frame being displayed every 1.92 milliseconds. This unprecedented level of visual feedback allows players to track moving targets with exceptional clarity, making micro-adjustments that can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

The monitor's Fast IPS panel technology combines competitive-grade speed with exceptional image quality, featuring peak 400 nits of brightness and DisplayHDR 400 certification. This ensures that while speed remains paramount, visual clarity is not compromised. Adaptive-Sync technology eliminates screen tearing and stuttering, providing the smooth, responsive experience that competitive gaming demands.

"The AG276FK represents another milestone in our commitment to competitive gaming," says César Acosta, Gaming Product Manager at AGON by AOC. "By introducing this 520 Hz display alongside our AG246FK and AG256FS models, we're offering esports professionals and enthusiasts a complete range of ultra-high refresh rate options with different sizes, speeds and panel types to match their specific competitive needs."

Advanced gaming features for the professional edge
The AG276FK comes equipped with a suite of gaming-relevant features. These include multiple pre-calibrated gaming modes optimized for different genres, ensuring players can quickly switch between ideal settings for various titles. The built-in Frame Counter and Shadow Control allow players to monitor their performance and fine-tune their visual experience, while the redesigned OSD menu system provides quick access to critical gaming features.

Building on AGON's esports heritage, the AG276FK incorporates the latest iteration of the Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) and MBR Sync technologies, which can be activated to further enhance motion clarity in competitive scenarios. MBR Sync combines the clarity of backlight strobing technologies with variable refresh rate support to offer crisp, tear-free motion. The monitor also features Low Input Lag mode, bypassing unnecessary image processing to ensure the fastest possible response to player inputs.

Versatility meets competitive excellence
The AG276FK's 27-inch Fast IPS panel offers the perfect balance between competitive performance and versatile everyday use. While its ultra-high refresh rate and rapid response times cater perfectly to competitive, esports-grade gaming, the larger screen size (compared to the 24-25-inch esports standard) and superior IPS color reproduction make it equally suitable for content creation, media consumption, and casual gaming. This versatility sets it apart from traditional esports displays, making it an ideal choice for serious gamers who demand a monitor that excels both in and out of competition.

Understanding the demands of esports-level gaming, the AG276FK features a highly adaptable stand with 130 mm height adjustment, as well as tilt, swivel, and pivot options, and a low profile, slim stand base - essential for maintaining optimal positioning during intense competition. The comprehensive connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and a USB hub with four USB 3.2 ports, ensuring seamless integration with professional gaming setups.

Pricing and availability
The AG276FK joins AGON PRO's prestigious line-up of professional gaming monitors, each designed to meet specific competitive gaming scenarios:
  • The AG246FK (540 Hz) - the absolute pinnacle of speed for professional competition with a 24.1-inch Fast TN esports panel
  • The AG256FS (390 Hz) - superior color reproduction with a competitive-grade refresh rate on a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel
  • The AG276FK (520 Hz) - the perfect balance of size, image quality and speed for serious competitors with a 27-inch Fast IPS panel
The AGON PRO AG276FK will be available from November 2024 at an MSRP of £499.99.

Interesting its LCD(TN and IPS) that have reached 500hz+ refresh rates, I thought it would be OLED that would reach those insane refresh rates.

480hz OLED is the equivalent of 700hz LCD, due to the 0.3ms of OLED as perceived by the eye

I'm not disagreeing with you, just giving an fyi

I can't even tell 1080p and 4K apart if we talk my particular room (15 ft/5.1 m) and my particular 1080p and 4K displays of this exact size. Both look microscopic from this range. I'm currently happily using the former with about 4 ft/1.2 m eye-to-screen distance. In no way I'm feeling offended by so-called "elephant" pixels.

Eeeeehhhh, somewhat, frame persistence and overall input is better with higher Hz no matter the technology, but overall yeah, roughly.

I would say that this is primarily aimed at the sort of people playing CS stretched at 1280x960. I don’t think they care about picture quality at that point.

Waiting for a 5KHz monitor so I can see all my vkQuake frames.

Not really, just want a good affordable 240Hz QD-OLED, but might still wait a couple years.
