AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Launch Allegedly Set for March 6

Earlier this week, it was reported that AMD is preparing at least online media event to announce and detail its upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series next-generation graphics cards powered by the RDNA 4 graphics architecture. It turns out that both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 will be available on March 6, 2025, according to a report by Uniko's Hardware. Reviews of the two cards should go live some time between the late-February media event and this launch date. AMD launching the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 on the same date isn't the only thing the two SKUs share. Both SKUs max out the 4 nm "Navi 48" silicon they're based on, and are differentiated by clock speeds. The two are expected to square off against NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5070 series.

Shou MikoWe will see efficiency improvements before performance I am still interested in 3DMark and gaming tests of the AMD Ryzen 9 Ai Max+ 395 chip with it's igpu even the 128GB sounds really a bit too much but it's made for compute not gaming.
Yea. I think they've said that it seems to be in a bit of a "grey zone" at the moment. I'd wait for the next iteration.
Shou MikoBut talking about efficiency I would still love to see AMD find their power moment where we could have a 200-250W card that performance like a RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4080 Super but the RX 9070 should be around 250-330W give or take with some AIB models having 3x8pins for a heavy oc.
I think gaming might start having their "natty or fake" moment
Shou MikoThis was seen at CES even I sadly wasn't there since I am not in the US and I cannot even get into the "CES" in Germany when it's around I was one year but that's like 3 years ago and it was awesome.
I would love to go again but sadly I doubt someone from any of the tech companies would send me a invite even it would make me really happy to take the day/days off from work to be for the whole event.
Maybe some outlet like TPU could do some sort of competition for tickets for events / press access for god measure. Not sure if they do?!

Shou Miko64 or 96 CUs I am not 100% on this it could even be 75 not sure what AMD has been cooking since sources says different things, so no matter I am excited to see how it goes because there should be a couple of games where RT is mandatory and cannot be turned off and I do not want to suffer from this just because devs do not realize that not all of us really want RT with the performance drop it comes with.
If RDNA 4 is still RDNA in its heart (why wouldn't it be), then 64 shaders per CU * 64 CUs = 4096 shaders in total.

RT is becoming mandatory in a few games, but whether that's something you consider a deciding factor is up to you. Personally, I'm not planning to upgrade for the next 2-3 generations at least, so I'll pay attention to the RT performance, even though I do not consider it crucial at the moment. I do not care about the majority of games, but if The Witcher 4 or The Witcher 1 remake comes with mandatory RT, I'm screwed.

On the other hand, if you don't mind upgrading a bit more frequently (I wouldn't normally, but recent prices changed my mind), then going for the 7900 XTX and selling it whenever shouldn't be a problem.
