Thermaltake Unveils Massive EXTREME Notebook Cooler With Cross-flow Fan

Thermaltake, a leading PC DIY brand for premium hardware solutions, is thrilled to launch the Massive EXTREME, a high-performance notebook cooler designed to deliver exceptional cooling for gaming and workstation laptops. With a cross-flow fan with an impressive 3500 RPM fan speed and sealed chamber design, it ensures superior temperature control even during demanding tasks.

Massive EXTREME is Thermaltake's first laptop cooler equipped with a powerful cross-flow fan, its vortex airflow design offers smoother air circulation to enhance the cooling capacity. This 120 mm PWM fan delivers up to 48.5 CFM airflow and 29.5 mm-H2O static pressure while keeping a noise level of 55.0 dB-A. Furthermore, the included high-density memory foam forms a sealed chamber, concentrating cooling on critical hotspots and significantly lower laptop temperatures.
The built-in temperature sensor allows users to monitor laptop conditions easily. The temperature is shown on the digital panel and can be toggled between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Based on the real-time information, you can freely adjust the Massive EXTREME from 800 to 3500 RPM via its Scroll Wheel Fan-Speed Control, achieving an ideal balance between fan speed and noise level.

The Massive EXTREME also offers customized functions to fit your usage habits and style. It features the 2-stage base risers and the two hidden risers, enabling height and angle adjustment for a more ergonomic typing position. Moreover, the Massive EXTREME supports three additional USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.2 (Gen 2) Type-C port with quick charge and high-speed data transfer for laptops, effortlessly connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, etc. To enhance visual appeal, the Massive EXTREME offers 256-color RGB spectrum lighting and five lighting modes, allowing you to personalize it to match your aesthetics.

The maintenance of the Massive EXTREME is easy as well. It includes a bottom filter to prevent dust buildup, and the removable and washable design enables cleaning it easily with water and reattaching it for continuous use. In addition, the Massive EXTREME has a universal power adapter, and its interchangeable plugs in the US, EU, UK, and AU standards allow you to seamlessly cool down your high-performance laptop without the limit of regions.

Experience premium cooling with the Massive EXTREME and unleash the full potential of your high-end gaming and workstation laptops. With powerful airflow, customizable design, and expanded connectivity, it keeps notebooks at optimal performance no matter how intense the task might be.

Display, rpm control ,two usb-c + usb hub in general...this thing will be over €100.....I mean it can be good for someone who uses exclusively laptops for everything, including gaming I guess.

Imagine, if plain, ordinary laptops had spare scrollwheels, and if one of them had been preset for fan speed management … To finally not be at the whims of the manufacturer anymore for how your cooling is set up! No fans that ramp up when you don’t want them to, and extra cooling on demand! Maaaan…

55dB? I know gaming laptops can go in excess of 60dB, but holy f***...

@GFreeman this seems very high for SP. "29.5 mm-H2O static pressure"

keeping? As if it’s trying to reduce noise? Doesn’t seem to be :)

That is what it says in their specifications. You can check it out via the link.

That's what they have on their site, but for a 120mm fan I suspect they mean 2.95mm H2o

So, basically the Llano cooler that costs a fraction of what this will eventually cost.
Also, going by the experiences of the Llano cooler users, running it at full blast is counterproductive as it messes completely with the air flow inside the laptop and, in some cases, all the air is pushed through the keyboard or speakers, not through the heatsink/vents.
The trick here is since you have the foam to "seal" the bottom of the laptop, you want to increase pressure enough to have a constant flow out of the heatsink exhaust vent, thus lowering your max temperatures, doing so by just gradually increasing speed until you see temperatures going high again.
Needless to say that older laptops are not as effective here, in some cases, as air can easily escape through CF/PCMCIA, optical drive and other unused plastic cover slots.
