Microsoft Confirms HDMI on Xbox 360 Premium

Microsoft has a pleasant surprise for all Xbox 360 Premium buyers that got a console made after July 4th 2007. "Yes, we are offering an HDMI port for Xbox 360 simply as another choice in Xbox 360 owners' games and entertainment experience. Retailers are gradually introducing HDMI-enabled Xbox 360s into the channel to meet demand". Unfortunately, HDMI will only be on the Xbox 360 Premium and Elite. Microsoft has no current plans to put an HDMI port on the $279 USD core version of the Xbox 360.

Or alternatively, you can think of it as a free upgrade when your Premium bricks.

The core version is useless, I wouldn't even consider it.

Not if you dont have a high speed internet connection then that basically renders the harddrive useless

It's still not useless. You can store game saves, music, and videos on it. I have a ton of music on mine.

Oh I know that im just saying that you wouldnt need the harddrive to listen to the music and videos and such. If you wanted to listen to some music just connect your mp3 player or better yet a pindrive that contain music and you can still get enjoyment out of that

Im saying that the Core 360 isnt useless. It after all can do virtually everything that the Premium can do once you buy a memory card and also just use pindrives and such to watch and listen to music and videos. You just wont have an all in one place to put everything and plus you wont exactly need the harddrive if your on dial-up like Half of the USA still is as of now so they dont need to pay that extra $100 dollars for something they will never be able to fully utilize. I personally was on dial-up until a few weeks ago when Bellsouth FINALLY came aknocking on our front door and offered us DSL at 3.0 MBPS
