Microsoft to Revise Xbox 360 Console
According to a Belgium source, Microsoft plans to revise the Xbox 360 Core system with a superior version without any change in pricing. The new entry-level system, called "Xbox 360 Arcade: Just Play," will still lack a hard disk drive, but will be packaged with a 256MB memory card. Its namesake comes from the fact that the new system will come with five Xbox Live Arcade games. Additionally, the new Core system will come with a wireless controller, replacing the current wired one. The Xbox 360 Premium system will be tagged with the words "Go Pro," while the Xbox 360 Elite will carry the words "Go Big."The news comes from a Microsoft source in Belgium, who sent the following email to Gamernode:

The embargo just lifted on some news I got earlier. At an as of yet unknown date, the Core will be completely phased out and repackaged as the 'Xbox Arcade: Just Play' pack. It will come with 5 games (I assume Uno and Pac-Man are two since I believe I saw them on the box art shown), a 256 mb memory card, and will be priced at 279. I'm not 100% sure about this part, but my notes say it will have an HDMI exit, but no cable in the box.

So now the only reason to get the Premium is for the backward compability and the HDD.
Microsoft are enhancing their "Core" package at no extra cost to consumers.
I think you will find its a standard memory card LOL
If you own an original 360 you will have to pay again to get the "superior" core version.
Everyone complains about MS doing stuff like this, but almost every hardware vendor on the planet does the same thing. Ships a product and then a few months later updates it something that is "new and improved" so people shell out more money.
Since they are a "business" and their goal is to "make money", I would say this is a reasonable marketting strategy.
I personally, do not own any console systems.
Didn't they know what they were buying when they bought it ?
How cruel and primitive. The 360 should have a multi-memory stick reader just like the PS3.
Does that mean the Ipod 5.5G offer more than the 5G too? Oh damn... And the Intel E6350 more than the E6320 and this one more than the E6300? OH DAMNIT, THEY TOTALLY TRICKED US!!! SUE SUE SUE!
