Dell and Alienware to Offer 64GB SSD Hard Drives

Samsung has begun shipping 2.5" 64GB SSD SATA HDDs. The NAND flash-based hard drives are expected to become available as storage options for Dell and Alienware consumer notebooks. i have to say that is a very nice spec laptop although i personally wouldn't invest in such an expensive item for mobile computing.

Yea, holy shit that's expensive and it's likely quite heavy.

Edit: 8.5 lbs. Not too bad.

The only things bad about SSDs are Price for 1 and Capacity for 2. Other than that, I love the offerings by major PC makers.

who would pay that, you could get an Asus with and 8600m GT for about 2k that would have similar performance. SSD is way to expensive just get a 7200rpm HDD for your laptop and your set.
