ViewSonic Delivers World’s First Super High Resolution, 19-inch Widescreen LCD

20" resolution on a 19" monitor, so i guess you can call it 'high' but still.
Also 1680x1050 on a 15.4"
It's not much, but it's a start. Soon the 20" resolution will become 1920x1200 and the 27 will become 2560x1600.
As for widescreen monitor when gaming - it's worth it for the games that do support widescreen resolutions IMHO. And when they don't, like Makaveli said, it's not a big deal.
Go check the widescreen gaming forums, and you'll see those are pretty dodgy fixes instead of a true solution.
P.S - i'm a widescreen fan. i just dont think your post has anything valid to it, in relation to this thread topic.
