Less than two weeks from now NVIDIA will be releasing its nForce 780i chipset marked to bring tri-SLI support for all hardcore users. GIGABYTE is going to be among the first motherboard manufacturers to introduce nForce 780i powered board. The GA-780SLi-DS5 has now been pictured and can be viewed just below. The board comes with two heatpipes cooling system, six SATA ports, three PCIe x16 slots that are tri-SLI ready and four DDR2 memory slots supporting DDR2-1066. Nice looks like they finally got rid of the heat sink on the back. Still only DDR2 though?...bah.

Foxconn makes parts for quite a few motherboard manufactures.

cool, that ones a ds-5 though, i wanna see a dq-6 (if they actually do one of course)
with the x-38's the ds-5 had lesser power circuitry than the dq-6, theoretically not overclocking as well...its certainly worth checking out if this is the case again, and if so how it affects overclocks

seeing as 680i is for intel, Id imagine the 780i is as well.

Pretty :).

I'm going for the AMD RD790 though, when I get a new motherboard. I've posted way too many good things about that motherboard to pass it up :p.

its coolish looking, i dont like the sideways sata, its very asus, a pain in the butt imo.
jost out of curiousity, shouldnt this board have one of those onboard molex ports for the pci-e? i cant see it anywhere i was under the impression that a sli setup often needs more power deliverd to the pci express bus when using more then one pci-e card.
other series boards have that black plug near the ram right?

pretty heatsink imo
ps (im aware that the cards have the six pin power socket, some have 12pin, im not referring to the card but the bus)
lol nm just found it near the spdif :banghead:
