Manhunt 2 Hacks Surface; Unlock 'Removed Gore'
When Rockstar Studios decided to make their game M-rated instead of AO-rated, they didn't actually remove the gore. Instead, they merely hid it within the game. And now, hackers are beginning to find way to unlock this gore. Rockstar owner Take-Two Interactive recently confirmed that the hack works for the PSP, and there are almost certainly beta hacks in development for the other consoles. The discovery will very likely get Rockstar Studios in trouble with the ESRB, as this is not the first time Rockstar has hidden something in their games (Hot Coffee, anyone?).

yes please, i would love a steaming cup of sex, nudity and hookers! :D :D :D
good stuff this is, wish that the developers of sof3 thought of this, then i could get the game in my country and enable the ao rated content afterwoulds
:ohwell:
Then it messed up your game -_-
Im f*cking gagging for that game! :D
And when you pointy out 8 year old Billy Pipsqueak you forgot an important thing. Though Billy may be 8 and unlikely to be able to purchase the game 17 and 18 year olds can.
The thing the ESRB will prosecute for is the fact that the 17 year olds shouldnt be exposed to this kind of thing, but then I would say whats the point if almost every store requires to see an ID to verify that your 18 years old even if you only want to buy an M rated game which btw is supposed to be for 17 and up, so the ESRB's point would be for nothing except maybe a couple dozen 17 year olds who are possibly affected by this, and furthermore how many of those few dozen 17 year olds that this affects do you think really know how to hack a game I can tell you right her right now that iots not going to be very many if at all.
Those people who want to play the full version should be allowed to.
I don't see how ANYONE can blame videogames for their kids turning out bad. Surely the PARENTS should be dictating what games their kids play.
If you let a games console and the TV raise your kids, then you deserve whatever failure they turn into. There's nothing wrong with kids playing games as long as it is monitored by parents.
Parents just seem to expect the government to take care of their kids for them and somehow magically protect them from all the sex, violence, drugs etc.
I turned out fine!! I just have a bad temper and I'm addicted to games, that's all. Oh and I'm a boring person. That about covers it.
I can't talk, though, the last encounter was a month ago in a dance club cubicle, her and I made sure it was a once off.:p
Anyway I wouldn't expect any 'hot coffee' type mods in Manhunt 2, it would just be weird.
Good on Rockstar for just hidding the good stuff instead of removing it.:rockout:
Maybe Rockstar always knew there were going to be hackers out there who will unlock it, after the hot coffee mod was unlocked.
Will definitley be getting Manhunt 2 for my PSP.
Rockstar have never failed with thier game quality, except for the State of Emergency series IMO.
The more the years go on the more socitey gets decensortized.
Swearing on T.V was real no no 20 or so years ago I was told.
Apparently even the word shit.
A movie called Clockwork Orange was banned in countries then too, so I hired it out to see what was so bad about it.
Nothing, it actually paled in comparison to the movies out now.
I completely agree. yeags ago, my girlfriend at the time worked for K*B Toys, and she used to tell me of these parent's that came into the store with their kids and purchased M-rated games, and had absolutely no idea what kind of content was in them.
I can't stand how everyone wants to point fingers at the gaming industry, though. It's ridiculous. Remember after the Colombine incident, when politicians and lawyers were going after ID Software because of Doom and Wolfenstein3D? (Although, much thanks to ID Software for publicly stating they will no longer develop games like that, while behind the scenes and under tight wraps they started developing Doom3 :rockout:)
