Sapphire AMD 790FX Motherboard Pictured

Sapphire has unveiled its high-end Phenom-ready 790FX-powered motherboard. The CrossFireX PC-AM2RD790 will support both AM2 and AM2+ processors, DDR2-1066, six SATA 3.0Gbp/s ports, and three PCI-Express 2.0 16X slot. Sapphire didn't bother to use any copper for the chipset cooling but has equipped the board with an aluminum cooling system, complete with multiple heatpipes. If the price on these is less than the DFI branded board, this will be my new board.

Personally, I think it'd be neat if there was a little fan or something embedded in the I/O port to cool off that heatsink. :P

It's only 8 watts mdm-adph. I don't know if it really needs a fan.

ebdoradzif you look carefully this DFI board only have 3 slot, so no quadfire here
I know this, BUT the INQ one is Quad but lacks space for the cards.

Looks nice, lets just hope this board isnt a failure like their previous two AMD boards. Gawd those were horrible.

Nah, I think this case it's because a tiny fan on the heatsink would be annoying as hell. A surprisingly practical reason
