Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP Yours for $2,034
Dell has updated its monitor line-up to offer a new 30-inch LCD. Nicknamed Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP, the new monitor has a native resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and 370 cd/m2 brightness. The new Dell LCD features a 8ms (G2G) response time, a 3-year warranty and has a multiple connectors including S-Video, Analog, DVI-D with HDCP, HDMI, Component, Composite and DisplayPort. The monitor is already available for purchase online directly from Dell for $2,034.

This monitor uses the exact same panel as the 3007WFP HC.
All it really has over it, are the extra connection, which were the 3007WFP's greatest weakness.
I would rather get an HDTV and use it as a monitor since it will be much cheaper.
Hell, I got my 1080p Samsung 40" LCD HDTV for only a grand lol.
I would gladly get 2 instead of 1 Dell 30".
Though when I can get 3 more 20's to match my current one for $600... I gotta go that route :)
The so called "BS" is pretty much just as you would expect within America.
There are no import taxes. The EU units are assembled in Hungary. So shipping is not it either.
Anyways I will wait for the 24 inch variant :D
Anyways, I agree way too overpriced for me.
I prefer my HDTV and my PS3 / Wii.
