ASUS Officially Launches 0.8ns 3850

ASUS, producer of top quality graphic solutions has today introduced another top performance overclocking solution - the ASUS EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M. Being the world's first EAH3850 TOP model to be equipped with the fastest upgraded DRR3 0.8ns memory modules, users can expect up to 12% improvement in gaming experiences. This powerful graphics card is also equipped with the newest thermal solution - the Glaciator Fansink; that utilizes a unique fansink design to keep GPU temperatures cool.
Up to 12% Performance Boosts
With the EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M, gamers can expect core and memory clock performance boosts from 668MHz up to 730MHz and from 828MHz up to 950MHz respectively. Furthermore, gamers will experience the best overclocking experience with upgraded DDR3 0.8ns memory modules that provide super fast capabilities for memory speeds. Such unprecedented performance upgrades helps elevate the EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M's 3DMark06 score from 9883 to 11137 - an astonishing 12% improvement in speed when compared to any other reference designed board. Gamers can now feel the adrenaline rush of superb gaming performance only with the EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M.

Extreme Cooling with Exclusive Glaciator Fansink
The ASUS EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M utilizes the new specially designed Glaciator Fansink that effectively dissipates heat away from the graphics card. Much like a glacial storm, the Glaciator Fansink can quickly transfer heat away from the GPU for cooler operations. On top of the efficient cooling capacity, the Glaciator Fansink is also half quieter than generic designed fansinks - catering to users who require maximum cooling without excessive fan rotation noise. Additionally, the ASUS EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M also comes equipped with the specially designed Cross heatsink that is albe to lower Power IC temperatures by 11ºC on average to provide more stable overall performance.

Unprecedented Rock Solid Quality from ASUS
In keeping in line with ASUS' Rock Solid promise for quality, the EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M provides several solutions for top quality graphic performance. Temperatures of the newly adopted DIP Spring Chokes are 5~10oC lower in comparison to traditional Toroidal Coil Chokes; while Japan-made polymer capacitors lower power loss to provide more stable quality. Users will now be able to enjoy extreme performance and put their minds at ease at the same time only with ASUS EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M.

Exclusive ASUS GamerOSD for Versatile Graphics Usage
The ASUS EAH3850 TOP/HTDI/512M also comes with the exclusive ASUS GamerOSD that unleashes the true power of ASUS' VGA cards. This feature is able to deliver GPU overclocking from onscreen displays during gameplay - allowing users real-time performance upgrades when they require it. Additionally, it also provides users with the option to record live gaming action or live broadcasting over the Internet with ease.

I agree^

Unless they are prepared to price it the same as other 3850's people will just buy a 3870 instead.

Same here.... the 3870 might still be worth it in the long run.

Well if that cooler is worth anything I got my HD 3850's core speeds past HD 3870 speeds so the faster memory might help.

why the hype about .8ns DDR3 when you can just buy a card with DDR4??? and I bet everyone is right about it costing the same as a 70.

Oh well, I am sure they will still sell them :)

Well I most say that this card looks interesting enough. Here is my experience. I own a HIS 3850 Ic3Q turbo (not turboX). Yesterday I ran it at 835Mhz Clock and 1060Mhz memory. I am not much of a gamer, but with these timings I managed to get 10473 points in 3dmark06, and the card was stable. It never went hotter than 63 degree celcius. There is probably some head room left, espacially on the memory clock. I do not know what type of memory is used on my video card, but I know that for a 3850 it does clock verry well. Performance is way better than my 2X XFX 8600GT 256Meg SLI set-up. I most admit that I do prefer my Ic3Q cooling solution over the Asus, as it gets the hot air out of the case, alowing for lower inside case temps, wich means lower CPU temps.

Athlon Xp 5600+ at 220 FSB (3080 Mhz)(vcore voltage tweaked)
2 X 1 gig dual channel corsair xms2 ddr2-800 4-4-4-12
Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe

ShadowFold, i have not touched the video cards voltage (I don't know how). I only played with the ati overdrive software. I did not think it was possible to get it past 780Mhz after reading some reviews. I was verry surprised that it did not crash or lockup my system during th test. I tried the auto tune option and my system locked up at 865Mhz on the GPU clock. After rebooting, I put it to 835Mhz and ran 3dMark06.

I have a problem with my HDTV output, but I don't use it (I use the DVI to HDMI with a HDtv as monitor I LOVE the onboard audio with HDMI), but my GPU clocks so well that I will keep the card
