Ultralight Lenovo X300 Series Thinkpad Leaked

New offering from Lenovo may threaten Apple's MacBook Air soon enough. At a glance, the new ultralight X300 series Thinkpad from Lenovo will feature a 13.3-inch LED backlit 1440x900 screen, an ultralight 2.5 pound form factor, optional 3G or WiMAX, Intel Merom Santa Rosa Dual Core CPU 2.0GHz (800MHz FSB), single 64GB SSD drive, up to 4GB of DDR2 PC2-5300 memory, and 4 hours of battery life. No release date or price has been announced.

I doubt this effects the sales of the Macbook Air at all. ;)

Hehe, looks like it says "DVD bumer" in the third picture.

And I think this is competition for the Macbook Air. Any business person going for a light, powerful, and thin notebook that can be used on long flights for more than 1 battery worth(ie. when the one dies, just swap a fresh one in) would be smart to look at this Lenovo.

That is, of course, assuming this Lenovo has a user-replaceable battery, which it likely does, 'cause it's not Apple.

This thing isn't shiny, but it blows the Air out of the water. It has an optical drive, 3 USB, finger print reader, probably a replaceable battery, upgrade ability, stereo speakers even... while weighing half a pound less. Now what's the price of this thing...
