And a 14 x 9 on a 13" screen is awesome! my 17 on my laptop on runs 14 x 9! I wish I had gotten one with 1650x1080 but its to late now.

And wow, ~2800 bucks for a laptop is very expensive. I paid 750 for mine, and I have a 2.0Ghz x2, 2 gigs ram, 160gig HD(upgraded to a 320) and a 17" monitor. I guess with the Draft N and the solid state and the overall weight and size its worth it, but I could never bring myself to pay that price

Exactly why Polaris573 said that most of the price is the SSD only. ;) Right now single 2.5" 64GB SSD costs from 1300$ to around 2k$.

SSD is not for the average joe, like MacBookAir as proven and 1,8" HDD can beat the performance per Watt of SSD. We have to wait until a SSD on 32nm or less to really compete with price per GB.....

to me its more about the no moving parts

Yeah, shock proof, no need to defrag, access times are cut down, and it's capable of maintaining higher throughput speeds, along with being efficient with power.
It's still a relatively new tech out on the market, especially compared to the HDD, which is over 50 years old now, so it's not surprising it's not quite worth it at the moment.

LED monitors are good though. Wish I had configured my m1330 with one, but like asb, with the screen res, it's a bit late now. Also didn't help it was a bit too expensive for something that would give me an extra 10 mins battery life, and only 50cd/ms more brightness (which I'm not bothered about, I don't use it on full brightness anyhow).
The resolution of 1440x900 is nice, and hopefully gives less trouble than using 1280x800 in Linux, which has been annoying the crap out of me to configure properly.

not to concerned, Ive seen alot of those fail in ipods. Never been to pleased with them. I like my nano because its flash based, especially in mp3 players, I prefer a solid state over moving parts.

when it comes to laptops I would really prefer drives with no moving parts, I have to service laptops for our field guys(superintendents for a general contractor), and these guys dont understand that the drives cant be shaken around. I have had to replace 9 HD's since last july
