Can easily be confused with the 8800gt.
I just hope the price tag is decent enough.

The cooler is as long as the card itself, which is fine I guess because it looks like a single slot solution if I'm not mistaken. I wonder how this new 9600 gen will OC. Should give some of the 8800 cards a run for their money if it is priced accordingly, but we all know that's not going to happen with ASUS :p

Why cant they just make black the standard PCB? I hate green and more so red. (im aware red PCB isnt pictured. Just a general statement)

I wonder which cooler performs better? The 9600gt/8800gt cooler or the 8800gs cooler? I would think for the cheaper x6xx series they would use the cheaper cooler.

well it should do fairly well at OC, its half the core of the G92 right down to rops and TMU's so id expect it would oc very well as it gives off less heat and uses a very similar cooler to the 8800GT

same cooler used on the 8800gt, underpowered for the 8800gt, may be ok for the 9600 tho.......

I doubt companies around the world will change PCB colors just to please you. :( Don't get me wrong, I don't like green either but there's no real financial incentive to make them change the color. Open up any server case and all you'll see is green. Only us enthusiasts care about the color, the rest of the world is oblivious to what's running underneath. :shadedshu

i know right!!!! i love her...she hasnt texted me back what company it is yet cause i really want that card skin but she looked it up in the comps..and shes like this is what it displays...nvidia 9600GTOC 512mb pciexpress.....i was like well than that has to be it....because when she first told me i was sceptical because they sell ati radeon 9600's and those are mad old and she isnt to computer savvy..then she told me what she could get the cards for...and that was my next hint she was right...cause thats asking price for these babys. she said she could get one..as long as they dont pull them but merchandising made a mistake...obviously...i mean its like a whole week b4 release
