Computex 2008: IKONIK Presents their first case and power supply products
IKONIK was formed in February 2008 and at this Computex they are showing their first products. The highlight is certainly the IKONIK Ra X10 which is an enthusiast class case that will be available in several editions, one including watercooling. It has tons of space with six 5.25" drive bays and ten 3.5" HDD slots.
The case features 13 fans that are controllable by IKONIK's SIM software. While there are some similarities, SIM is not NVIDIA's ESA. For example SIM allows changing parameters, while ESA only allows monitoring. Also SIM works on any motherboard with any chipset.Anti vibration rubber is present for the HDDs, optical drives and the power supply. Most of the screws are thumbscrews or some sort of a tool-less mechanism to allow easy maintenance access where possible. The front panel connectors are hidden behind a magnetized plastic cover, the first time I have seen such a concept. Four USB ports on the front will certainly come in handy.IKONIK also presents four power supply products ranging over the whole spectrum from 460W to 1500W. The two products on the top (Vulcan) also feature a wireless connection to the motherboard which allows you to monitor and control the PSU from your desktop using IKONIK's included Mad Tweaker software.
