Computex 2008: IKONIK Presents their first case and power supply products

IKONIK was formed in February 2008 and at this Computex they are showing their first products.

The highlight is certainly the IKONIK Ra X10 which is an enthusiast class case that will be available in several editions, one including watercooling. It has tons of space with six 5.25" drive bays and ten 3.5" HDD slots.

The case features 13 fans that are controllable by IKONIK's SIM software. While there are some similarities, SIM is not NVIDIA's ESA. For example SIM allows changing parameters, while ESA only allows monitoring. Also SIM works on any motherboard with any chipset.

Anti vibration rubber is present for the HDDs, optical drives and the power supply. Most of the screws are thumbscrews or some sort of a tool-less mechanism to allow easy maintenance access where possible.

The front panel connectors are hidden behind a magnetized plastic cover, the first time I have seen such a concept. Four USB ports on the front will certainly come in handy.

IKONIK also presents four power supply products ranging over the whole spectrum from 460W to 1500W. The two products on the top (Vulcan) also feature a wireless connection to the motherboard which allows you to monitor and control the PSU from your desktop using IKONIK's included Mad Tweaker software.

Looks very nice indeed. I like the idea of the SIM software, if they sell it seperately that would be a bonus too.

For such a large case, I don't actually mind that. Reminds me of the Thermaltake Armour, not a bad thing to some eyes, but I actually think it betters it in aesthetics.

Hope they do well.

This company looks to be like a mom-and-pop type business. Quality service and products, with hopefully reasonable pricing. The case and PSU's look well built from the pics, and the water cooling system looks impressive. I don't know much about this new company but they must be enthusiast/gamer/modder inspired/operated. I look forward to seeing prices on both cases and PSU's by them. I may be swayed away from purchasing my Antec 1200 and Thermaltake PSU. I hope the company makes it through the battle of competition and price wars, as it's always nice to see comapnies with good products, services, and prices.

tigger69Its gigabyte,ikonik seems to be their company/brand.

lookee here-www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=13645
Idk... gigabyte already has their own line of cases.. I don't see why they would make a " new company" to market their cases. The cases and PSU's also seam to be a little better built than Gigabytes >.<
