Silverstone Raven 2 Case Spotted at Computex
Silverstone is getting ready to present the Raven 2 at the show, starting tomorrow. We were able to take a few pictures of the chassis already. It is much more compact than the original Raven, but features the same unique layout in which the mainboard is mounted with the rear slots facing upward.Silverstone has packed the case with an AMD based motherboard and four Radeon 4870X2s. The bottom of the case holds three, what appear to be, 200 mm fans which pull air into the case and the power supply is mounted so that it has access to cool air, blowing it out the top as well.Silverstone has included a special mount for an SSD and a hole to gain access to the cooler backplate of the mainboard on the side of the case as well.

If you love the Raven 2 case, then you will love this video ;-) :toast:
I'd take this over the New Corsair:P
i still don't see anything that would impede airflow enough to increase temp's  as i stated earlier the cooling of this case would prolly be amazing! :D
First mod would be to put a fan on the top left corner, so that it helps the GPU hot air out. Now the case fan kinda creates a barrier in between. Now after market coolers that leave the heat inside would be fine or even better :)
1st- the PS fan is wasted here (its intake is through the right side of the case instead of exhausting the case (just like the silly PSs on the bottom))
2nd-There is 3 intakes but only 1 exhaust fan
3rd- since they are trying to have flow from the bottom up (good in theory) mounting the Hdds and DVD flat like that blocks the airflow (just silly). If they mounted the Hdds and DVD on their sides air would be allowed to pass much easier.
4th 5th 6th did I mention the totally stupid way of mounting the PS?
2.) You may be right, but positive pressure will still push a fair amount of air out, so the negative effects are much less than most think. I tested this extensively with my Stacker 830, but still, you are right that a more even approach would be better.
3.) I have to agree here, sideways would be better. But I'm also willing to bet that the negative effects are less than you would think on this as well.
4th, 5th, and 6th: See #1.
So, in short, I completely disagree with point 1, but agree mostly with 2 and 3, save the severity of the mishaps.
Different thing is when you have some cool running CPU with integrated graphics idling inside the case, while tweeting on twitter. Then you can have the PSU on the regular spot and as the only fan in the system.
I have my PSU upside down on top, just because I don't want it to suck all the hot air from the CPU. Next case will have one of those "silly PSs on the bottom" :)
