The Intel Atom Z2420 is a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in January 2013. It is part of the Atom lineup, using the Penwell architecture with BGA 617. Atom Z2420 has 512 KB of L2 cache per core and operates at 1200 MHz. Intel is building the Atom Z2420 on a 32 nm production process using 140 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Atom Z2420, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 3 W, the Atom Z2420 consumes extremely little energy. Intel's processor supports DDR2 memory. This processor features the GMA integrated graphics solution. The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
