The Intel Atom Z2480 is a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in January 2013. It is part of the Atom lineup, using the Penwell architecture with BGA 617. Atom Z2480 has 512 KB of L2 cache per core and operates at 1400 MHz. Intel is making the Atom Z2480 on a 32 nm production node using 140 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Atom Z2480, which limits its overclocking potential. With a TDP of 3 W, the Atom Z2480 consumes extremely little energy. Intel's processor supports DDR2 memory. This processor features the GMA integrated graphics solution. The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
