The Intel Atom Z605 was a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in May 2010. It is part of the Atom lineup, using the Lincroft architecture with BGA 518. Atom Z605 has 512 KB of L2 cache per core and operates at 1000 MHz. Intel is making the Atom Z605 on a 45 nm production node using 140 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Atom Z605, which limits its overclocking potential.
With a TDP of 2 W, the Atom Z605 consumes extremely little energy. Intel's processor supports DDR1 and DDR2 memory.
The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
