The AMD Mobile Duron 600 was a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in January 2001, at an MSRP of $75. It is part of the Duron lineup, using the Spitfire architecture with Socket A. Mobile Duron 600 has 64 KB of L2 cache and operates at 600 MHz. AMD is building the Mobile Duron 600 on a 180 nm production process using 25 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Mobile Duron 600, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 20 W, the Mobile Duron 600 consumes only little energy. AMD's processor supports DDR1 memory. Actual memory technology support depends on the chosen motherboard, because the memory controller is located on the motherboard (not in the processor). A lot of games will not work on this processor, because they require the SSE instruction set, which is not supported.
