Can also happen if the page hasn't fully loaded.
Indeed, in that case the Javascript isn't fully initialized yet, so it can't capture the click on the link, so the default link action is executed

You clicked open in new tab or had Javascript disabled
Nope. Neither one of those happened. NoScript allows techpowerup.com & tpucdn.com and I direct-clicked it.

Not that either, I spent time reading a few comments, including Mussels' comment which was the one being given the like.

I confirmed it happens here if i open in new tab, i reckon lexy had a seniors moment :P

Not sure if this goes here, but I'll ask anyway;

Mayhap there be a new feature lurking? Or is this an old feature reworked?

That's been around for a while. It's enabled for troubleshooting threads and the like. Basically for letting the users upvote the correct or better solution to the issue discussed in the thread. W1zz mentioned it in

This is the new "Question" thread type, where people can vote on answers

Fair enough. I've never seen it before..

It's not particularly popular here, I think I'll end up turning the feature off at some point
OH NO please...
i use it! and i lead some some sort of statistics with it...
:D:p

Hi!

I hope this is the appropriate topic for this.
I found a strange error in the GPU database page.
When checking the relative performance part, it shows:
1625680294295.png

and after a few page reload
1625680327813.png

The difference between GT 740 and HD 5770 jumps from 142% to 101%

Added info: Up to date Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi, all do this, after about 4-5 reload it switches between the two data.

I've never seen that. Damn Mussels!
I get lots of warnings about "you need to wait X seconds..." and such
Shit i even triggered the spam filters once and w1zz had to unban my IP

working as intended, and it's fine if you trigger it, even multiple times, just solve the captcha, which usually means just clicking the checkbox

I actually see that pretty frequently when I'm perusing the GPU database.
i tried to make it as painless as possible, while still trying to keep the bots and scrapers out.

This is fixed now. Thanks again!

The underlying issue was the following:
- We don't have performance data for all cards, so we have to estimate it for some
- When estimating, it looks for a GPU with similar properties, based on architecture and shader count
- For the GT740 specifically both GT640 and GTX 650 have same arch and shader count, yet totally different performance
- So it randomly picked one, depending on the order in which the database server returned results
- I updated this to also take into account the GPU clock (closer GPU clock wins in the selection for the "base" card for estimates)

As stated yes I do.

Yesterday I left for an hour and came back and was quickly logged out.

Fixed means only in code yet, or it's alive on the site already, because I still got two results?
