Not directly related to the article but I'm actually super impressed by AFMF being a worthwhile thing at all.
People have mostly glossed it over (after all, it's a beta driver and the tech is for Jan 2024) but it is impressive how it's a fundamentally inferior thing that works without motion vectors, and still...works.
You can't expect it to work great in high action moments, but for a tech that's meant to enhance the "cinematography" of a game, it's amazing that it runs driver side, and doesn't give severe ghosting or artifacting, from what I've seen.
Had a guy test it in CoD MW2 on a 7900 xt, it was obviously not ideal due to the latency, but the experience was still totally acceptable visually:
