I have the same card model, 3080 10gb, but mine is water cooled, even so, those temps seem a bit high to me.

Have you tried popping the glass front panel off? could you switch it for the air version front?

I have a 7000D airflow myself, just thought the glass front might be a bit restrictive, though not sure.
Hi, never thought of popping the glass off, may try that too... Thanks..

It probably is. I also have a 7000D airflow but one thing I had to do was add a 3000 RPM 140MM fan to bring some of the temps down. When you populate your board some of the flash storage can produce heat. It is most likely my WD AN1500.

Fer the love of W1zzard, post the name when you talk about a game!

This is a public announcement.
Nah gotta keep em guessing, so they have to ask and I can rant about it :D

Also... Farthest Frontier. Hoooooly sheeet. Banished 2.0 indeed. Its awesome. I got nervous quite a few times, thought I was doing well for myself in the end and then I peeked at the gold cost for a higher tier of building I needed. Massively short :D Seems like the scale needs to go up lots to even get a chance at tier 3 and higher buildings. Damn! Loving it. Every time you're like 'OK now this looks stable' and there's still some internal economy that'll run off course, while you started worrying about expansion. All the time I'm on that edge between the idea of having control and being thrown a new challenge. Crate doing the thing again, for sure here. This is a winner. One slight meh was the firefighting. Villagers just running into fire, fire goes out. Mkay. Why the hell did you run off to the well then for water?

The game aged very very well, it was a real pleasure to replay it.
Better than my memories !
Gunplay is awesome, ennemies A.I is top notch.
I often read that level layouts are repetitive ... even boring ... but to me, it's the opposite.
It's like some liminal space, the global layout is totally illogical.
I haven't noticed it back then, but it give a feeling of a mouse traped in a labyrinth.
The game is totally linear, like a basic Call of Duty, you cannot loose yourself, but it's incoherent ...
Pass a door, then a corridor, two, three steps then a desk, followed by a another corridor then some empty rooms ...
It really add a another touch of paranormal like a randomly work of an architect :)

Every players who done the game will remember this sequence

This is how the famous liminal spaces are created :)

I've always wondered how can ppl pull that off, I mean even shorter games take me days or a week+ to finish. 'idk even after 2-3 hours of gaming I feel like that its enough and I need a break for the day or so'
I did play and finish True Colors when it was new but yet to play the DLC, tbh I kind of liked the game more than LiS 2 but still my fav is the first.

I'm still playing Ghostwire: Tokyo tho I should be close to the end of the main story, Diablo 4 season 2 kind of sidetracked me. 'playing a pure summon Necro, enjoying it a lot more than Season 1 so far'

Do tears playing down my face count?

Pushing deeper into my grind for a Great One on COTW. Since that is largely repetitive I finally played on a few of the maps that were bought on sale and neglected for a later date. The Mexican one, Rancho de Arroyo, is actually a lot more fun than I thought during few minutes devoted to it last Winter.

So i'm still playing Sniper Elite 5 and i was wondering if the temp's i'm experiencing are normal/abnormal. I usually play for 40-45 minutes before checking..?!View attachment 318650
Um, yes, those temps are a problem! You need to find a way to get those temps below 80C, preferably below 75C. Better cooling fans, better case, whatever, find a way.

Hi, never thought of popping the glass off, may try that too... Thanks..
That might work. Take the side of your case off, put a fan aimed at the inside of the case and see what happens. Regardless how you solve this issue, anything is better than nothing.

Currently playing some good ol Torchlight II! Such a fun game, and looks great on the OLED! BG3 crashes way to much for me. Over 50 crashes in 20hrs. Fresh W11 install and have even reinstalled the game, no luck.

Yesterday my temp's whilst playing Sniper Elite 5 were way too high ( my thanks to everyone who replied) and by using some tip's received on here I removed the side panel and used a fan at the side, took glass panel off front of case and again measured my temps for around 40 mins.
What a difference.... Before and after temp's! So now i'll be installing a couple of extra fans inside my case for more cooling.

See if you can get a vented panel for the front instead of the glass one. Is there a 4000 airflow case, that has a vented fornt panel?

Revisiting Fallout 3. How little newer cards sips power on these old games. Also need to lock 60fps if not Fawkes Gatling laser didn't work, typical of Bethesda games

Damn. Crap-show that game?
The game when working was fun and got 60fps+ on low. I just don't think they didn't much work for the 1080 TI. Been wanting to upgrade, but this Gen is just so expensive compared to when I got the 1080 TI.

I've also been playing through the Assassin's Creed games currently on the third. Also looks great on 5120x1440
