Benchmark Scores | bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o |
now, we're talking
okay ...
1. a 397chf proprietary/non customizable Razer Kitsune Chun Li edition ?
oooooorrrrrr
2. a 33chf RP2040 based (open hardware/source, GP2040-CE ) custom stickless controller ?
answer is YES! oh, wait ... no, answer is Nr.2 .... it's always Nr.2 ... (specially when Nr.1 is something by Razer at least for me )
bundle : ohhhh a real user manual? woot!
eh? now i have 2 ciy keycap puller/switch extractor? nice bonus these are my favorites type.
12 Cherry MX Silver (10 of them cost 12chf so 14.40chf just for the switches) 5 layer acrylic with various cutout, also it has some nice weight to it and do not feel cheap in the slighest and yeah indeed a custom PCB with an integrated RP2040 (Raspberry Pi Pico) although you'd need to disassemble the bottom to reach the reset button, the bootsel button is in the open (left of the USB-C on the second pic)
removing the 6 screws reveal the same logo and the "Chun Li edition" on that one is customizable, you have the template, you can put whatever you want later
the buttoncap are quite great ... and i could even swap them for normal keycap in HID-KB mode.
one of the thinner acrylic sheet serve as switch mounting... interesting, more interesting? the EVA/PE/Poron? (seemsEVA actually seems more Poron, EVA is more form retaining, but not sure) pads which act as silencers (interesting because i ordered 100 similar Poron pad for my Thock 75% and the 8key )
it support Switch/DInput/XInput/PS3-4/HID-KB/GP2040/ compatible obviously Switch, PS3/4, PC, Android 10+ and MiSter
full RGB with multiple modes (thanks for color coding buttons, also north facing leds ) and configuration is done via browser since it has a built-in local web server.
perfectly usable with Steam in big picture and nowwww ...
i guess i know why i bought, some time ago, KoF XIV Galaxy Ed. on GoG .... time to try that one !
end word ... Daaaang, for the price i did not expect it to be that good.
edit ... if i print a new art for it ... i'd make it a "Sylvie Paula Paula edition" (yeah Sylvie hater can zip it! she's in KoF XV, deal with it )
price checked some component ... aside the 14.40chf worth of Cherry MX Silver, a RP2-B2 is 0.70chf so, half the price i paid is covered by that, the Oled Screen bought locally is about 9chf total 24.10chf mean around ~10chf is left for the custom PCB, hotswap sockets minor SMD, USB-C plug, reset and BOOTSEL buttons, USB-C cable and Keycap puller/Switch extractor combo, impressive, very impressive indeed
