What's your latest tech purchase?

The GT Omega rear seat mount frame and RS6 seat arrived. Heavy and sturdy stuff. Now I wait for the monitor mount to arrive.

At this point location of the pc is still on debate.
Why are the pedals so far away from the seat, it looks like you will be laying down like a F1 driver.

I guess it's a CSL DD Ready2Race Bundle, 5Nm or 8Nm? Your opinion on how strong its FFB is? I'm eyeing those for some time now.
It is, yes. They had a discount on the 8Nm so I went for it. It is a very strong ffb compared to the Logitech Pro (from 20 years ago). Highly recommend it.
ninja edit: the wheel has a shift led built-in. And the software compared to Logitech (old crap) is waaaaaay better but also much more elaborate.
Things I'll buy in the future are the clutch pedal, and then also the manual/sequential shifter.

Cause I'm a tall Dutchman. Actually I can still slide the seat back a bit further but than my arms aren't long enough to reach the wheel anymore

Bingo.

I'm leaning towards Moza R9 and R12 bundles (wheel & base), and IDK for pedals. It's a fair bit more money, but I think it's worth it. Also Asetek La Prima bundle is great contender in that price range, although unlike Fanatec and Moza, I can't order it from my country.

You must have legs like a Giraffe, I'm 6'2" and it looks to far away, especially with that frame over the area where your shins would be. It looks too restrictive.

The Moza R9 was on my short list too and is a great contender; a little bit cheaper with more torque. Whatever you pick you won't be disappointed.

I'm 1,95m/6`39" and my knees are slightly bend which makes it a comfortable position. And looks can be deceiving ;)

Next time I'm going for a seat with extended leg support..maybe rip the seat out of a BMW. :D

I think i can beat that leg question easily. I', also 1,95m/6'39". My jeans are 30W/38L. So 38" of length. I can only buy them at Amazomn Global store imported from the US. Europe ends thinking at a length of 34"/36". I'm not large but the world is much too small for me. ;)

Hate to tell you this but you are short for a Dutchman. :p

The good old Renault 5.
Long time ago, my parents had exactly the same car :)

I am moving my Spam system from my Bitfenix M2022 case to a Lan-Li A3 Dan case with a Alphacool Eisbaer 360 cooler for over clocking and better thermals.

Case:

Cooler:

I like the case so far, it has allot of different internal configurations for the type of parts/cooling you are going to use in your build, like an optional vertical GPU bracket. I would like to see Lan-Li shrink this case down to an ITX variant.

Another hard drive for my PC, replacing a 2TB WD Caviar Green that I had for almost a decade now, which still works fine but I need the extra capacity.

Just ordered my new working desk. 200cm x 75cm (78,7 x 29,5 inch). The massive wooden plate (finger-jointed beech) is 50mm (2 inch) thick. They say the weight is about 65kg. The desk feet can carry more than 300kg. They are delivered around the 23rd of july. So i have to wait till i can mount it. In general the plate is used for workbenches.

Ooh, pretty case. I'm looking for a replacement case of the NR200p and the Lian Li A3 is on my short list along with the Deepcool CH160.

The case is one of the best case's that Lan Li has done IMO. I will post in the case forums how the changeover was and issues I ran into some time today if time allows me.

Another Thinkpad T14, this time gen2 with Intel.

Nothing special, just for a generic Linux install. Hopefully they didn't do anything crazy with the sound hardware on that thing.

7800X3D, Peerless Assassin 120 argb, x670e msi Tomahawk wifi, g skill expo 32gb 6000 cl30(not here yet), crucial 1tb gen5 nvme and some mx6.

Power button so I can use it to test Motherboards out of a case.

I've been eyeing up this (below) for sometime but couldn't justify forking out a 100 quid for it. I've got a couple of spare monitors and every now and then i make use of one of them. It's having to take them out of storage, wiping off the dust, carrying them up the stairs and clearing the desk to make space for the weighty and large buggers got me thinking of a more portable, less-weighty and slim solution with a bunch of other benefits (outdoor/travel laptop second display use, off-site troubleshooting, etc).

The recent £20 fat trim @ £79.99 triggered an impulsive quick buy for me.

Very nice, I bought similar a while back for much the same reasons, now I don't have to carry a monitor upstairs anymore I just use this.

Last year's model, only downside seems to be the OLED screen draws a lot of battery, and new ultrabook Thinkpads don't have the two battery hot swap system, but the one i've bought is 1920x1200 IPS anyway so that's fine.

It's to replace a starting to be unreliable six year old i7 8550u Thinkpad T490S my parents use. Has a 2 TB SN770 in that for movies and other data, so will swap the M.2 and voila.

Got a case/screen protector too.

Was thinking about getting a Framework 13" for them, but even in it's third iteration it's still a little beta, plus it's over £1k for a Meteor Lake platform that won't even ship till September, by which point Lunar Lake/Arrow Lake will be out, plus I'm not a huge fan of the USB-C active hub for every port approach they take, since it drains battery, and they don't have a good track record of prompt BIOS updates.

Maybe in future.

Got a case/screen protector too.

Although all the tabs and phones get one, in all these years i've never thought of buying a screen protector for my laptop. A bit of a weird oversight considering my laptop screens do end up with minor scratches over time but usually nothing observable with the screen lit up. I'm gonna look into grabbing one for my current lappie.
