A similar thing happened to me recently when I swapped from a 7800X3D to a 7950X3D M$ fixed it in about 5m minutes maybe support out here in the states is better I guess.
I don't believe swapping a CPU could be the cause based on my experience, and myself not having any issue in doing so.

Did you disconnect from the internet while on first boot? If not, clean format and try again
That no longer works since MS updated to prevent that.

Yeah, it's never happened to me before either but for whatever reason it locked me out and disabled my W11 key.

Usually it takes swapping a motherboard at a min. Maybe it was a bug either way M$ fixed it pretty fast.

Same chipset had nothing to do with it. I think win xp was reading in serial # and other device ID info to spot hardware changes.

So when I build my new rig, I'll need a fresh win 11 key? Or can I just use my old one?

Sort of. If you went from an Intel chipset to another similar Intel chipset, XP would transfer and redetect all the needed hardware/drivers. Same with AMD/VIA/SIS. But I digress... The activation would then be triggered and you couldn't logon unless you reactivated. So in effect it kinda did.

Bit Locker relies on this, I know there was a patch breaking the OS.

Well, BitLocker is added in as a convenience (and the fact that it's easily reversible because of cloud storage for its master key is arguably a weakness, since I don't think Microsoft would deny the government access to this key if demanded of - this is an area where I'd trust Apple with as long as Tim Cook is at the helm) if one's truly serious about security they would likely be using something like VeraCrypt and a hardware TPM key to nuke all data within the machine if the chip is removed.

They can keep it. Not needed or wanted.

Why? Tim Cook is the reason Apple is a joke these days.

True. Properly setup, Veracrypt is uncrackable and has no known attack vectors.

and a hardware TPM key to nuke all data within the machine if the chip is removed.
Nah, not needed. It's solid of used by itself, but not as an addin.

I do not and will not(by choice or by force) use bitlocker. It's a completely asinine way of doing encryption and is lacking where real security is concerned.
He is 1 of the OG MS Devs, Retired ofc, but has a good explanation of it. I think MS is trying to force it on by default like how tpm is enabled by default in the bios, both are horrible for the enduser.

I never used it and never will. A feature that was put in with Vista, an idea that is poorly executed.

Perhaps, but he told the government to go pound sand when they tried to have them build a backdoor to iOS. That's massive to me

Credit where it's due, that's a big point in his favor. He's otherwise been very poor for Apple and the public.

it's so sneaky, the activation reads something like " log in to activate windows" I thought it was just to get the activation like signing into the xbox app or something , then it changes your local account to a microsoft account and forces you to add a pin. And now because there is something wrong with Microsoft SMS authentication I'm locked out.
Ms has no option to use an authenticator app instead?? That's bad coz what if you don't have cell signal or the cell network is acting up??

Microsoft devs never have emergencies or Anthony or of their control happen I guess.. must be nice..
