I got almost the same panel, but with two additional usb 2.0....but I paid full price. If you got that for €1 that's is just insane....that's basically a gift. What is the website if you don't mind sharing.

So I installed the RAM yesterday. At first I did not notice a difference. When I checked HW Info it was still showing 2400 MHz. I went back into the BIOS and it was set to 3000 mhz on the first BIOS screen where you can select the Expo profile. What I had to do was go advanced and then into the OC menu. In there was a setting that had the RAM locked at 5200. I adjusted it to 6000 and now I am smiling. I have not played a Game to see what difference it makes yet but it seems even with an X3D chip that regular desktop use feels faster and snappier.

Indeed I might get another 32GB when they go on sale again. It is Team so the cost is not too bad and they go on sale quite regularly. These seem perfect for AM5 in terms of price/performance. I am thinking of getting an 8600G to see what this kit vs my 5200 kit will do.

That's weird considering that I don't feel any difference between 4800 and 6000 MHz either with the 7700X or 7800X3D.

AliExpress, first time this year to buy something and got a huge discount. I normally buy small electronic components there (switches).
And the full price was just €18, still a lot cheaper than any of the local shops.

Yeah, me too. MS doesn't boot faster and neither does GiMP load quicker..or if it does it's in milli nanoseconds.

Ordered an EPD controller Board yesterday, I want to reuse the 14" LCD screen of my old Dell laptop (it was suffering of a fried mainboard ) and use it as a secondary display through HDMI.

LCD controller board.jpg

The laptop's full HD14" LCD screen is still good, so I was thinking of using it as a secondary screen for real time monitoring with HWiNFO64 or simular.
At the moment I have a 3.5" IPS USB screen, but it runs with a shady software program (TURZX) that needs admin rigths .

I also like the G.Skill WigiDash, but it's still overpriced @ €135 in my opinion, so if this trick works it's a nice alternative for the cheap and I reduce e-waste ;). At least that's the excuse I use as accountabillity to my wife for spending on the PC again:roll:.

Not sure as I am running a 5.0 drive for boot; It could also be sub timings.

I don't think it's the subtimings. If I don't feel a 1200 MHz memory clock difference, then what would the subtimings do to me? A 5.0 boot drive might make the difference more pronounced, but I have my doubts about that, too, considering that my HTPC with a 3.0 drive and DDR4 feels just as snappy in normal use as my main rig.

All I did was change the RAM. I don't see a difference in Gaming but my RAM was one of the weakest 5200 MHz sets. All I know is I am happy.

And all I did was turn EXPO on/off (due to SoC voltage and idle CPU power consumption which behave way better with slower RAM), and I didn't feel any difference. But as long as you're happy with the change... :)

With a 4090 you can get 5-8% more perfomance depending on board and ram kit.

Some boards are terrible with sub timings others are pretty good even from the same motherboard maker.

Good example the Aorus B650 elite AX is pretty good even out of the box with GSkill 6000 CL30 the Aorus X670E Pro X I have to manually do the timings or they suck ass.

On a lesser gpu probably not worth it though on any board.

Shame I have 2 Aorus Pro X motherboards lol wish I could trade one for a B650E Taichi lite

That's the thing: I don't have a 4090, and even if I did, 5-8% extra is nothing. :ohwell:

I'm much better off saving 200 mV on the SoC and 5-ish °C on the CPU, imo.

Won't matter. We're just way past diminishing returns level performance here. Its that difference between 120 and 200 FPS. Whateverland, we're chasing milliseconds.

Do I feel the difference between a 8700K and a 7800X3D on the desktop and during load times? Definitely. But it doesn't matter one bit what I load from; SATA SSD or NVME over pcie.

Bought 1TB Sammy 860 SSD and 8GB DDR3L for my brother in-law Dell Inspiron 3000 2-in-1, can't believe it uses spinny 2.5in HDD in 2-in-1 runs unbelievably slow with windows 10, these upgrades make it runs better.

The seller throws in free mousepad, and it fits in with my Razer mouse which is nice. Yeah I don't use any mousepad before just the top of my table is enough

These idiots gave me a 20% promo code after they had bumped up the price of all their GOOD coffee beans by 25-30%. This is the only decent coffee they had on their website that worked out cheaper than amazon after promo was added. Absolute scammers.

Too Much Coffee GIF by nounish ⌐◨-◨

Also I had to buy 4 otherwise it would have charged me £3.80 for delivery and kills the deal. So i had to BUY MORE to benefit from the 20% off promo. I guess the house always wins.

Should work out 13.99 per Kg compared to £15 on amazon.

This will sort me out for about 8 -10 months.

At first I was wondering the relationship between coffee and tech purchase, but then I saw the light.

Without coffee there would be no tech...
