What's a sufficient load Mr Freeagent? Cinebench is what I always use. You on about prime/pi?
I am a Linpack guy :)

If you build for that, everything else is a joke :)

If I ran Linpack, instant 89C, guaranteed. 79C with Linpack is silly...
That is why when I see R23 being used, I just think teehee..

I just leave my power limits alone on my 58X3D. I give it a -28 all core curve and call it a day.

That's it pretty much.. set your if/mem speed and enjoy.

If you are into tweaking.. not a good CPU for that..

X3Ds are pretty much "locked" at their advertised speed.
Not much you can do, other than trying to make them run cooler with CO.

NonX3Ds can boost way higher than default specs as long as you keep them cooled

not to worry gentlemen, I know its not an impressive score at all but this is my first and only ryzen cpu so im still testing the waters as it were, and this felt quite nice smiley face
That's pretty much what I used to get on mine with 4.75GHz all core OC couldn't do more than that though because it would get oodles whea errors and eventually BSOD but 4.75 all day everyday was sweet as a nut

Hey everyone, been reading into PBOI and Curve offsets for my 5800x. Hoping someone here can check out my current situation. Am I supposed to be getting worse multi and single core scores on CB after enabling CO + PBO vs just PBO? I expected single core to improve, and multi core to stay the same or get worse by a small margin. after finding my offsets which took a while, I tested stability with Corecycler for 7 hours and OCCT for 1hr.
AGESA 1.2.0..ca (Bios date 7/16/24). Also, in bios I have my Vcore offset set at -0.004, and boost override set to +100mhz
My PC is aging and I would like to get the most out of it. I just finished OC'ing my memory which was one hell of a 3 weeklong adventure. Ram is TM5 @ Anta777 Extreme 12hr stable and OCCT stable for 3hrs.

Offsets and PBO limits along with test results in the pictures below. If anything looks off, let me know. I'm still new to this.

For ease, I'll write offsets as well.

What is your CO values? Have you set them to negative?

A free boost you can get easy for gaming is trying 3800/1900 or 3733/1866 on ram. Raise rcd to 21, rc to 60 and rfc to 560. Rest may woek fine as is. Maybe you need a bit more iod voltage.

Results below. If anything looks off, let me know. I'm still new to this.

You can use PBO2Tuner to adjust the CO and PBO in windows while u testing (this worked best for me).
You can find it here (i just google it , you can also get it if you download CoreCycler)

It should look something like this

What is your CO values? Have you set them to negative?

A free boost you can get easy for gaming is trying 3800/1900 or 3733/1866 on ram. Raise rcd to 21, rc to 60 and rfc to 560. Rest may woek fine as is. Maybe you need a bit more iod voltage.

my 2nd pic lists my co offsets but I will put them in my initial post and here.

-8 -6 -20 -22 -20 -13 -10 -15

Also, the ram I have took a long time to get to the timings and frequency. its rated for 3200mhz. It was very difficult to get it to the timings and speed it is at now. But if you really think that it will increase my gaming performance noticeably, I will work on it. Aida64 reports my memory latency as 61ns. With XMP, that value was 67ns.

Thank you, I should have specified that I already have my CO offsets in the 2nd pic I posted. It shows ROPbench and has my offsets along with my PBO values. ROPbench Imo does the same thing as pbotuner2 plus more.

I would like to know something. I ran OCCT CPU + Ram test. It maxes out my limits further than just a CPU test. I wanted to know the effect of setting PBO limits in real time, so I played with them and watched my clock speed. If I was at 100% Utilization of my PBO limits, my clock speed would drop on TDC and PPT. With EDC even at 100% utilization, the "Sweet spot" seemed to be 85A. Any lower or higher and my effective clock speed would drop. I did the same thing with TDC and PPT. With PPT it was 160W. 10W below max usage during OCCT. Any lower or higher and my effective clock speed would go down. TDC was a little harder to gauge, but I noticed clocks being affected when TDC was below or higher than 100A. Im curious if this test I did is only specific to stress testing with OCCT, or If I set the PBO values I found, will they be correct for gaming as well?
