  • Last night I stayed in w/ the ice cream, ordered up some water, from Doordash and did a little cleaning up (work in progress). Now? I am heading out the door for a ride to the lake, w/ a book, and then a stop at Key's for a late lunch/ dinner. Then back home for another short round of cleaning and do a load, or 2, of laundry.
rant/I made it. I woke up today!! I also just got some great news, that relieved a little tension. I was worried about storing my bike for the winter. There's only 1 place around here that will do it, I know because of days of web searching and phone calls, last year. So, a couple of days ago, I looked them up again.

What a relief! I have been a little worried about this, really since before the Flood Run. Because last year I had to bring it in in Sep. I also remember being a little pissed, because there was still nice weather last Sep. Relief, is not a word that fills the feelings I have right now, Joy is in there, too! LOL!

I am going to shower and shave. Then, see where my energy level is. I am so happy right now, I want to celebrate! So, maybe I will go out and do something fun, or maybe just stay in and have some ice cream. LOL
Anywho, I hope you all are having a Great Wed., also!! :lovetpu: /rant

Relax with an energy drink and play some game and music.
OK so, I knew I had a 16 hour shift tomorrow,Tuesday, but I got called in to work an extra shift today, also. Sun, Mon and Tues. add up to 44 hours. Plus my PTO on Saturday means 56 hours. However, since PTO doesn't count for overtime, I will have 52 hours reg pay and only 4 hours overtime, this week.

The kicker is, the last 2 days were 28 hours and tomorrow is another 16 starting at 7 am. Which means getting up and 5:30 and rushing out the door by 6. So, another 5, and change, hours of sleep, again, tonight. Which means, it is bedtime, right now! Good Night TPU!
Well, did 189.1 miles on the bike today. All part of the Fall Flood Run, a Motorcycle ride up and down the Mississippi, along the Wisconsin and Minnesota border. It was a blast but, I am beat. Got home Hours ago, took a nap but, still tired. So, Good Night TPU!! 12 hour shift starts in the morn.
For reasons I cannot explain, I just spent the last 2+ hours, on FaceBook. :banghead: What a waste of time. Now, it's time for bed and I didn't do a single thing I had planned to do! Oh, well. Good Night TPU! :lovetpu::sleep:
As it turns out, the windscreen is correct, I just installed it. Apparently, the dealer tech was looking at the wrong section of installations. It took me an hour, because I had to run back and forth, for tools, to my Apt. I thought I had what I needed until I got the headlight surround off. No big deal, it's on!

Now I need to shower, again, since I sweat my butt off in the non air flow basement of the garage. BTW, I assembled the windscreen in my Apt. and then just had to remove the headlight. No one noticed and it all went smooth. Hopefully, I don't get in trouble, LOL! Anyway, shower and off to RIDE!!

Got the Bike back, no windscreen. Apparently, I was sent the wrong one, Which sucks. There's no way to get the right one in time for the ride I am going on. Anyway, Bikes back and I am going to bed. I will see about returning the damn thing, tomorrow! Good night TPU! :banghead:
Well, brought the bike in for it's year one maintenance, yesterday. Then went to the bar and had a bottle of wine, a bacon burger and read a few chapters of a book. Then stumbled a few blocks home and slept for 12 hours! Now, I finally feel a bit rested! LOL.

I am also having them install a small windscreen, I purchased. I was going to install it myself but, 1. I was tired. 2. I would rather be riding my bike, on my day off, than spending it in the basement of the parking garage sweating my ass off putting a windscreen on. I was planning to bring the bike in, anyway.

Anywho, I hope they finish it soon, I am itching to go enjoy the weather on my motorcycle, with a new windscreen! I am gonna jump on the highway, on the way home. Hopefully it will immediately make a difference, well, it will. I hope it is the difference I wanted. Should be fine, I am not needing much.

I just want a little bit of wind off my chest. It becomes tiring to have to hold on at anything above 50 mph. This thing is said to remove 75% of the wind, from the chest, at 65 mph. That should make the longer rides a bit more comfortable, less stressful and possibly more fuel efficient, to boot!
Well, I am tired. 12 hours Sat. and Sun and 16 today. 40 hours, 3 days. Plus, I have another 8 hour shift tomorrow. 48 hours 4 days. I need sleep. I came home, turned on the Youtube and just woke up in my chair. So, good night, I have nothing left in the tank. Plus I have a phone call, at around 9 am, long story, another time.
Wed. fixed her Flat and then we went to the hardware store, got and adaptor for her sink and a 8mmX1.25 bolt and a lock washer, for a table I put together for her. Turns out the shelves were a rack, that she wanted to put against the wall. However, last time I was there...

I moved everything along that wall away from the wall, then put my nephews King size mattress and Box spring against the wall and restacked the boxes in front of the bedding. Now, she wants this 6ft. rack in front of the bedding. Which means moving everything, again. I did not have the energy for that.

I was going to go there today but, I have a few things of my own to take care of today. It looks like it's gonna be another day. Next week I bring my bike in for some maintenance and check up's, before my Flood Run, the following weekend. So, I may be able to squeeze my Sister's stuff in before I leave. We'll see.
Good Night TPU!! Off to my Sister's Wed., early afternoon. She has a flat tire on her car and some shelves she wants me to assemble. Hopefully I can complete them in under 3 hours and still enjoy my day, with a few hours of Sunlight.

Well, I forgot to order up some Water, on Friday, like I usually do. I checked and my local Walgreens is open today (the one by work, is closed), so a quick trip there, before work, is in order. It's a Sunny cool day in the 70's, should be a nice ride in to work. Spent a few minutes this morning, searching for the Backpack I want...

I found a couple sites that still have them in stock, which is good. The regular sites I roam have been sold out of the particular design I am after. So, I bookmarked a couple sites for payday. I think that is it, maybe some Water Proof boots (?), if I can justify the cost. Don't absolutely need them RIGHT now, or even for the day trip coming up.

However, it would be nice to have for the longer journeys, I occasionally do. Anyway, I am going to get moving to the store then off to work. Take care TPU!! :lovetpu:
Well, spent about an hour laying on the couch, in our office, but did not doze off like I thought I would. However, it was relaxing after spending 40 minutes in the stairwells, looking for a Fenty head. Turns out he did leave, as I thought, but the control officer took 40 minutes to find the camera footage. :(
I decided not to go to the lake. Instead I went to Swede Hollow Park, twice because I forgot my book and water, and sat and read my book for about an hour, or so. I then went to St. Paul Brewery, since it was close by, and had a couple beers and a delicious bacon burger. Now, it's time for bed, hopefully I can get some good rest.
I just got home, a little longer ride due to traffic, and I am going to take a nap then go to the Lake, not sure which on yet. I will decide later. I am so unused to getting up at 5:30 in the morning, which I've had to do for the last 2 days, that I am bushed. I'll update the lake and the trip later tonight.
My day off is Today! So, what to do, what to do...I need to do a couple loads of laundry, I need to cut my hair, I need to eat something.. Perhaps I shall start with a load of laundry and do my haircut while that's going. switch out loads and shower and shave. Leave a load in the dryer, and go out for a ride and find somewhere to eat. Plan? Plan!
Well, looks like I am only going to have 1 day off this week, Wed. That'll be 10 out of 11 days, from Last Sat through next Tues. 96 Hours, next check. Should help pay for my next bike check, oil change and filter and bolt check stuff and brakes checked...and so on. I might also have them install my wind protector, that I could do if I had a place to do it.

I've now got my rain gear and with the front fairing thing, I will be all set for the Fall Flood Run. It's a one day trip around the Mississippi, South on the MN side North on the Wisconsin side. Bunch of waypoints and food specials along the way. I am planning the checkpoints, to earn my Fall Flood Run Pin.

Then in the Spring there' another Flood Run, I think it would be cool to have a collection of Flood Run Pins. Most folks just go and find a stopping point and hang with their buddies. I'm planning the whole course and earning the pin. I mapped it out, 180, or so miles. I'm looking forward to it! It's 4 Saturdays away.

I've been planning this for 2 months, already! The excitement is building. :toast:
Well, just had a Tequila, that has been marinating (if that's the right word) with a chunk of smoked oak, in a bottle I keep for such situations. It's been sitting in my cupboard fir about 10 days. Yes, it was smooth-er than this bottle is straight. Yes, I enjoyed it and yes, it's now past my bedtime! So....
OK, got my phone but, Apple locked my access to iCloud for 7 days! So, can't get my contacts or download any apps for a week. I am still unsure why they locked me out but, they are not going to help me at all, until next week! Can't wait until this phone is paid off! Going straight back to an Android!
OK, well, I am going to be a phone user, once again. Insurance sent me another and it should be at work, when I get there. I used my Alexa Dot to call my boss, so someone at the desk, will sign for it. I had to leave a message, since he didn't pick up. I may try calling again, in a few minutes.

UPS screwed up. So, I am heading to a holding facility, before work. Apparently, one of the drivers doesn't know what a Security Desk is. I kept getting updates that said I needed a suite number. I changed the address, twice, they said it was out for delivery, twice. But it was not delivered. (?)

Anyway, I am going to UPS to pick up a package that was clearly labeled and not delivered. I am unsure why I have to do this, UPS is a Delivery Business, no? Frustrating.
