  • I am exhausted but, gotta go back to work. Gotta make it through tonight and tomorrow night then it's two days of nothing to do with work! Mostly laundry, and cleaning and going to see the Sheriff, they need a copy of my certificate, and sleep.

Hopefully, I have enough money to go to my favorite hole in the wall, no time to check it. I gotta run and get my bus. Toodles TPU, until then...

Well, juggled some money around my accounts, so I can go enjoy a early dinner/ late lunch at my favorite hole in the wall. I am bringing the book, Erasure, by Percival Everett. It was made into a movie called, American Fiction, I think. The title is something similar. Anywho, I am off to eat and read! :lovetpu:
So, went to a bar to see the end of the Wild game. We won. Had three beers and a whiskey, contacted a Lyft...Since the bus drove right by me, and then my Lyft driver pulled up, then drove off! I then had to wait, outside, for a different driver. 28 Deg F. and I spent an additional 5 minutes waiting!

Turned out to be the best thing all day. Friendly waitress, and bartender. Some random dude there, brought my backpack out to me, after I went out to catch the second Lyft. I think I love that Bar, Maxwell's on Washington Ave. Never had a bad time there. Unfortunately, it's in MPLS. not local.

But, it is on my way home from work and, normally, I can catch a bus, a block away. So, won't be my last time there, been there a bunch, in the last 3 months. Sometimes, I am the only one there! Other times, there is nowhere to sit. Either way, friendly people and awesome staff! Win, Win. I am thinking of moving nearer to them! LOL

Good Night, TPU!:lovetpu: Weird day...Valentine's...seems I can't win. Oh well, there's always next year! ;)
ok, so. I spent the better part of 6 + hours figuring my trip and the costs of my trip, during the last couple of days. Tommorow, I am going to the bank to see if they will give me a loan. I've worked very hard, over three years to improve my credit rating, last check it was at 760.

Which should mean a loan is in the cards. We'll see if they make me jump any weird hoops, hopefully that number means something to them.

Well instead of 2 days off, I have 2 days of training at the office location that I have to take 2 busses to, and leave at 7AM to get there on time. Did I mention the 1/2 mile walk from the bus stop to the office? Awesome. I have already worked 48 hours in the last 5 days and now I get to spend 8 hours today and friday listening to some wanna be tough guy tell us how to do our job.
Back to the Grind, in the Morning. Fortunately it looks like the Weather here is not going to be so brutal, this week. Yea! So, Good Night TPU! :lovetpu:
Got home from work, Wednesday, and stayed up all night. I needed to reset my bodyclock. So, Thursday afternoon, I took an hour nap, then got up and finished the day around 10PM. Today, I was up at 7 AM and went to my Chiropractor, for an adjustment/ maintenance, at 9AM. @8, this evening, I was a little sleepy.

I pushed through it and now, a little after 10 PM, I think I am ready for bed. So, GOOD NIGHT TPU!!!

Gotta work Wednesdays, again. I had a nice vacation from Wednesday work for a month, or two. But here we go again. Good thing is, it's 8 hours overtime, each week, that will help pay off my Motorcycle and help with some other bills, i.e. electric, phone, internet and such. I don't really mind, I still get 2 days off and get some extra dough!
So it is Thursday. It's my day to visit my favorite dinner spot, with a book, and have some good food. Today's book is going to be one I set aside for a few years. But I am going to get through it. "On Photography" by Susan Sontag. It's made up of 6 Essays from the mid to late '70's, originally published in the New Yorker Mag.

I remember reading part of the first essay, and finding it a bit Hoity Toity, but, I am going to give it a second chance and see how it goes. I found it again, because it had a bookmark in it and I was looking for a bookmark. I was going to bring a another book I had put down, more recently,

"How the Baby Boomers Betrayed America" by Bruce Cannon Gibney. The Washington Post says,"Gibney's argument, that the boomers are guilty of 'generational plunder' is spot on." It's very interesting and fact filled but, is a little heavy. In that it is not entertaining, and even a little depressing.

It is a lot like having a feeling of how things are going, being laid out in a factual realistic way and seeing how it was/is actually a little more complicated and will be difficult to fix. Anyway, I am going to restart the Sontag Essays', this week. The Boomer book is going to have to wait, some more. Shower, Shave and off I go!
Well, I am trying very hard to stay awake, until at least 10, 11 pm. Then off to bed, up before 10 am. Rinse and repeat for the next few days. Somehow my sleep schedule went on vaca 4 hours away! I am gonna try to force it back to my timezone!!
Well, been sitting here for most of the day, doing nothing. I did get dressed! LOL. I went to the Post Office this morning, that's about it. Tomorrow, Thursday, I have some plans. I am going to my fav. cafe, as usual, but then I have a ticket to the Wild game. We play Montreal, the canucks!
Just got home from work. Pretty uneventful, aside from someone taking a dump inside one of our doors. Fortunately, for us, there was a cleaner on duty. Otherwise we would have had to call their boss and have him send someone in, which means the stink would have enveloped the courtyard by the time someone made it in.

I could actually smell it, with a stuffy nose, from about a hundred feet away.We had an event upstairs and people were walking from the Tower to the Hotel, across the courtyard. The looks on their faces was hilarious. It takes all kinds but, some should be shot in the face.
Somehow, I managed to pick up a cold. Yesterday was rough, aches and constant runny nose. I managed to work up the motivation to walk to the store and get some meds and some more tissues. I slept like a baby, first time in a week, with the night time meds. No weird dreams or sleep meds side effects. Nice.

OK, showered, clothed and just took a DayQuil. Fortunately I have, just, enough energy to type. I am hoping that will improve at some point so I can walk a half mile, to Key's Cafe. Also, I hope the Cough Suppressant starts working soon. I need to eat, I had a Snickers and some trail mix yesterday. That's it.

Tuesday, at work, I had a donut, a P3 protein snack and a Snickers. I think I'm due for some food, despite not being hungry, at all.
Oh, and no, it's not Covid, I don't think. Feels like a cold. I have a tester in the bathroom, I will get to it, before I leave. I have been triple vaccinated against Covid. I hope it's still good.

As it turns out, both sets of my at home Covid testers, had dried up fluid/solution and were useless. Oh well. I think I would feel different, unlike the common cold symptoms, if I had Covid.
