The TPU UK Clubhouse

Two-hole sinks still have two inlets (as @68Olds was saying), but the modern tap will still be a mixer. Lots of old houses have old pipework, so even a new sink/basin has to accomodate the possibility.

And now for something completely different.

I am proud to be Scots British.

So they make new mixing faucets that fit the traditional two faucet spacing. US companies (Home Depot - Lowes) would make sure nothing like that existed so you would be forced to buy a faucet and a sink. lol

Those exploding Tea Cakes sound tasty.

You're not helping your case here
And the mallow... It would be devastated by being tongued with a thick Scottish accent.

I personally am not a fan of foods that require a special approach. I mostly cook things that even a total idiot will get right.

Still hung up on the taps??? Lol

personal preference lots of both types in hardware stores here in Canada for bathroom sinks and kitchen sinks

variety is the spice of life they say

Nah, we've moved on. Connector / dual input mixer taps assured me that it's not 1910 anymore. :D

I love cooking special things... but I don't like it when you have to eat something a certain way.

Yeah, if a spoon isn't enough then the design of this dish is flawed. Where are the QA watching..?

I dont think the mallow cares when you have your face all up in it.

Starting to pack again. Tickets not yet booked but that will be sorted tonight and I hope to be flying out Wednesday or Thursday depending on availability. I'll be back (again) in early May. May-be before the 15th.

There is a very small possibility that i'll be heading out there a 3rd time around Oct-Nov time. Currently not quite sure if the 3rd trip will happen but its a possibility.

::EDIT::

Well. Wed/Thurs departure was very wishful thinking. £1000+ PER PERSON. I now roll out on the 14th at a less eyewatering £597 PP. Curse everyone with the same idea of flying back for easter!

Incoming allergy season, might be time to bust out the hayfever tablets again.

We are at the peak of Tree Bark season, I am just thankful I grew out of my tree bark allergy because when I was a teenager I had to go for jabs every week just to be able to open my eyes between late March and late April.

Wow! I never knew that was even a thing.

Do you really have to ruin the nice weather with that negativity?

I'm actually happy that my time off work coincided with some sunshine for once. I can't remember when this last happened to me.

Can't help it when I can't really survive during the day sneezing like a mad man

Ahhhh, but is that consistent bad weather of just bad luck/holiday selection :D

It generally falls/fell under "Hayfever" but it tends to be much worse in the extremes, where as what we call "standard hayfever" mainly is breathed into the body the tree bark thing is exclusivly direct eye contact. I was also allergic to some grasses as well but not nearly as bad as the damn trees, luckily I woke up one day when I was 17 or 18 and BOOM, no hayfever :).

We've been having almost a straight week of sunshine up here in Scotland, at least on the Central Belt, and it's been glorious.

Well, last summer lasted for roughly two weeks. If you want to call the fact that I couldn't book holidays exactly for those two weeks bad luck, then be my guest. ;)

@Tatty_Two Heres a nice one for you.

I was out for a walk around my local reservoir and I was at the right place and time to help this guy get a picture of his catch.

Saw him get it in the net then I asked if i could get some pictures of it for my dad and of course I helped him get some good pictures too!

I hadnt realised I had stumbled into a fishing tournament for a veterans charity until after the pictures were done.

Ive fished this reserviour before in my youth. Waited an entire year just for one fish and this bloke. First time fishing at this venue got one in the net and lost a second one before he even had time to unhook the first.

I asked if he was going to weigh it. He said maybe but then didnt bother. Estimated the fish to be somewhere in the 30s.

proper chunky belly on that.

Wish I had spoken to him a little longer but I didnt want to overstay my welcome. Ive come across many carp anglers that dont like to chat.

It looks like a 32 - 33 pounder to me, it's difficult to tell though from a photo because when you hold the fish, the further you hold it from your chest the larger it looks but at least this guy has bent arms, if he had outstreched arms I would have said it's a twenty :D A very nice Common, looks like it's about to spawn, especially with the warmer weather we have had for 10 days.

Probably a wall in Tatty’s shed ;)
