With an all-new design language, the latest display tech and a range of gaming and connectivity features, the 2022 UltraGear gaming monitors have what it takes to satisfy gamers' needs. This year's LG UltraGear models sport an even sleeker gaming aesthetic with sharp, angular stands and the new Hexagon Lighting. Along with the new design identity, LG's 2022 monitors bring the latest HDMI 2.1 connectivity, enabling features such as variable refresh rate (VRR) and support for fast 4K gaming on PCs and the latest consoles. And, as one would expect, the new UltraGear lineup delivers beautiful, vivid picture quality and lightning-quick response time - the two 32-inchers courtesy of LG's advanced Nano IPS 1 millisecond Gray-to-Gray (GTG) display technology and the 48GQ900 via a premium, 48-inch, 0.1 millisecond LG OLED panel.

ASUS Intros ROG Swift PG329Q-W Monitor

ASUS today introduced the ROG Swift PG329Q-W gaming monitor. Essentially a white-body variant of the ROG Swift PG329Q, its design sees matte-white take up must of the back body panel with matte-aluminium accents—a diagonal strip and another one around the pivot. The stand has the same 2-tone finish. At the front, you see matte-white only take up the bottom bezel. The screen is still framed in a thin black bezel.

The ROG Swift PG329Q-W is a 32-inch planar monitor with a Fast IPS display panel. It offers WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 175 Hz refresh-rate, 1 ms (GTG) response time, and technologies such as ELMB Sync, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and DisplayHDR 600. Dell Launches new 4K UltraSharpScreens with IPS Black Technology

Dell has revealed a pair of new 4K UltraSharp Screens using LG Display's IPS Black technology, which is said to deliver 35 percent deeper blacks than current IPS displays. Even though that is the headline feature, it might actually be the least interesting aspect of the 27-inch U2723QE and 32-inch U3223QE displays, as they pack a host of other useful features, as long as you're looking for a new productivity monitor.

Both models pack a six-port USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) USB hub, with the main USB-C upstreams port being capable of delivering 90 Watts of power over USB-PD, as well as supporting DP 1.4 Alt Mode. The USB hub also works in KVM mode, which seems to be becoming a standard feature on a lot of higher-end displays these days. The single downstreams USB 3.2 Gen 2 port is limited to a mere 15 W and there's also a second USB 3.2 Gen 2 upstream port that is only for USB data signals. Traditional display inputs include an HDMI port, presumably of the 2.0 variety, a DP 1.4 input, as well as an output for display daisy chaining, a feature we don't see too often on non Dell displays. Finally there's an RJ45 for hardwired network of a "docked" notebook, plus a 3.5 mm audio jack for audio output.

NVIDIA Brings Reflex to More Monitors and Mice, HDR10+ support later in 2022

The 1440p esports monitors are all capable of a refresh rate of at least 300 Hz, with the ASUS ROG Swift going as high as 360 Hz.

We've already covered the Alienware QD-OLED display in a separate news post, so we'll skip it here. The 4K miniLED displays consist of the Acer Predator X32, the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQXE and the HP Omen 32u, all 32-inch displays, with the Acer and ASUS displays being capable of 160 Hz refresh rates. We can't find any details about the HP display beyond the limited information provided by Nvidia.

A nifty feature with this monitor is its stand, which doubles up as a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad. Huawei is reportedly preparing to launch this monitor on May 16.

Samsung Launches T55 Series of Office Monitors with 1000R Curvature

Samsung today introduced the latest T55 series of monitors designed for an office use case. To kick-off the new lineup, Samsung launched three monitors that have similar specifications, but their respective size is the only differentiator. The new models are C24T55, C27T55, and C32T55 which feature 24-inch, 27-inch, and 32-inch display panels respectively. All of them feature 1000R curvature applied to ease the eye strain, making them a very unique choice for an office monitor.

Besides the different screen sizes, all of the monitors feature similar specifications such as a 1080p VA screen clocked at a 75 Hz refresh rate. Besides having support for AMD's FreeSync technology, these monitors have 4 ms GtG response time, so they are not exactly gaming oriented. The displays cover 1.193 of the sRGB color spectrum and 0.884 of Adobe RGB, so despite being a VA panel, it is not bad. The brightness level is a standard 250 nit specification for an office monitor, and the contrast ration is 3000:1. To feed the monitor with image, you can choose anything from HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, or D-Sub connector. While the 24-inch version doesn't include any in-built speaker, the 27-inch and 32-inch versions have a pair of 5 W stereo speakers. There are no VESA mounting points, so to stand the monitor relies on its own stand which can tilt from -3° to 20°.
