Thermaltake Unveils TOUGHFAN 12 Turbo High Static Pressure Radiator Fan

Thermaltake, the leading PC DIY premium brand for Cooling, Gaming Gear, and Enthusiast Memory solutions, is excited to announce that the new TOUGHFAN 12 Turbo High Static Pressure Radiator Fan is available for purchase. The TOUGHFAN 12 Turbo is a PWM controlled fan that now performs at a maximum speed of 2500 RPM. These high-quality, great performance fans are made with our 2nd generation hydraulic bearing and metal reinforced hub, which are optimized for high static pressure while maintaining minimal noise levels. The liquid crystal polymer (LCP) fan blades are extremely tensile in strength; their low thermal expansion coefficient can reduce the fan's vibration when running at full speed. If you think you need some extra boost from the Thermaltake's TOUGHFAN series products, don't hesitate to try out the TOUGHFAN 12 Turbo High Static Pressure Radiator Fan.

Overclocked AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Sets World Record on Air

AMD's Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card debuted yesterday and in the overall test results, we saw that it runs just a few percent behind NVIDIA's direct competitor - GeForce RTX 3080. However, when it comes to overclocking and world records, the card has just set one. Popular extreme overclocker Alva Jonathan aka "LUCKY_NOOB", has managed to overclock the Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU and set a new world record with the card. Paired with LN2 cooled Ryzen 9 5950X clocked at 5.4 GHz, the graphics card was cooled by... air cooler? Indeed it was. Lucky has managed to clock the RX 6800 XT at 2650 MHz using the reference air cooler. With that system, he managed to score 47932 points in 3DMark FireStrike.

The overclocker has modified 3DMark's tessellation to presumably give the Radeon card more performance, so the score isn't valid on the official 3DMark charts. What gives the overclocker an idea of a world record is the fact that HWBOT actually accepts those numbers, which ranks it higher than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card that scored 47725 points. Despite the modifications, it is impressive to see AMD's card rank that high, and as more overclockers are getting their hands on these cards, it is a question if we are going to see the 3 GHz barrier broken by a Radeon card.

Noctua Showcases Next Generation of D-type Coolers, Chromax Coolers and More at Computex 2019

During our visit with Noctua, we spotted what every air cooling enthusiast has been hoping for, a brand new top of the line D-type cooler. Noctua's next generation model is of course based on the award-winning NH-D15 and NH-D15S and comes packing 7 heat pipes alongside a 10% increase in surface area for improved performance. It also takes design cues from the NH-D15S by using an asymmetrical design for improved PCIe clearance while also retaining the same fin cutouts for improved RAM clearance of 65 mm.

The company plans to release two versions, one with a single fan and of course a dual fan thus offering both a high compatibility and a maximum performance model. The bundled fan will be Noctua's proven NF-A15 PWM model which when paired with the new redesign results in a cooler capable of dissipating over 400-watts on the TR4 socket. Speaking of sockets, it will support all current offerings including AMD, LGA20xx, LGA115x with a separate model for socket TR4. It has a current ETA of Q1 2020 and will come bundled with Noctua's NT-H2 thermal compound.
