BiTMICRO Announces E-Disk Altima II and Ace Drive II Industrial SSDs

BiTMICRO Networks, Inc. has been shipping their latest military and industrial grade E-Disk Altima II and Ace Drive II, NVMe and SATA 2.5" SSDs since November 2017. Heptagon Systems, an embedded server manufacturer has been working with BiTMICRO to qualify their new Industrial SSDs.

"We have tested the BiTMICRO 2TB ACE Drive II Industrial SSD in our HQ-BOX - Xeon-D based compact fan-less industrial server while it's operating in a temperature chamber" explains Stas Lapchev, VP of R&D of Heptagon Systems. "With ambient temperature ranges from -30°C to +72°C, the SSD continued to function properly with performance of 3GB/s read and 2.3GB/s write without degradation and has sustained temperatures even as high as 85°C (as measured on the SSD)".

BiTMICRO Launches New MAXio E-Series of PCIe Family of Solid State Drives

BiTMICRO Networks, Inc. today announced MAXio E-Series PCIe solid state drives (SSDs). Powered by BiTMICRO's patented Talino ASIC Architecture, the new MAXio E-Series SSD delivers superior capacity, performance and reliability for companies that need to support high volume application workloads.

BiTMICRO MAXio E-Series SSDs are based on the company's industry proven Talino ASIC Architecture which is used by strategic partners including RunCore, one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of solid state products and solutions in China. "BiTMICRO has developed a truly revolutionary architecture that is very high performance, but also high capacity to meet the burgeoning application demands of our customers in China and around the globe," said Limuel Yap, Vice President, Technical and Business Development, RunCore. "It changes the way people think and address their enterprise storage requirements."

BiTMICRO and Global Unichip Fabricate Revolutionary Solid State Drive Controller

BiTMICRO Networks, a manufacturer of high-end enterprise Solid State Drive (SSD) technologies, and Global Unichip Corporation (GUC), the Flexible ASIC Leader, have successfully taped out a third generation SSD controller. Dubbed as TALINO-DE (Translation and Linking of I/O Nodes - Device Edition), this multi-core SSD controller provides high-speed data transfer between host and storage device. TALINO-DE is seen to be a generation ahead of today's market-leading technology.

TALINO-DE features multiple embedded CPUs, high-speed serial on-chip buses and proprietary integrated data moving technology, enabling parallel access to hundreds of flash chips. Other features include full data path protection, end-to-end data integrity, embedded AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) engines for data security, embedded XOR engines for delivering faster transaction processing in RAID configurations, power management, and other resource optimization.

BiTMICRO Goes Big, Introduces 1.6TB Ultra320 SCSI SSD Drive

BiTMICRO Networks, a pioneer in intelligent flash solid state storage solutions continues its relentless pursuit for storage innovation with the announcement of the E-Disk Altima E3S320 solid state flash disk. Claiming its seat as the manufacturer of the world's first Ultra320 SCSI flash drive, this time the E-Disk Altima Ultra320 SCSI drive will offer an astounding 1.6 terabytes of storage capacity in a standard 3.5-inch form factor, a most welcome development for the highly demanding enterprise, military and industrial applications.

BiTMICRO Introduces 832GB SATAII SSD for CES 2008

BiTMICRO, developer of flash disk, solid state disk (SSD), network storage and file cache solid state drive solutions is about to make strong appearance at CES this year. According to a press release, the company is introducing a new, 2.5-inch solid-state drive with the whoppping 832GB of space. The SATA II drive comes as a new addition to the company's E-Disk Altima line, and utilizes a technology the company calls multi-level cell (or MLC) memory, which apparently doubles the number of bits stored per memory cell when compared with single-level cell (SLC) NAND. The drives are expected to ship Q3 2008 in capacities ranging from 32GB to 832GB.

BiTMICRO Announces New Fibre Channel E-Disk Altima Flash SSD Drives

At the Oracle OpenWorld 2007 event in San Francisco, California storage manufacturer BiTMICRO has announced its plan to introduce the E-Disk Altima 4Gbit Fibre Channel flash SSD. Aimed at the enterprise market, the E-Disk Altima E3F4FL flash SSD is designed to deliver high-bandwidth storage performance and offer transfer speeds of up to 230MB/s. The Altima drives use single level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory chips and can be equipped with up to 1.6TB worth of flash storage space. The sampling of Altima 4Gbit SSDs will start in Q1 2008 with volume shipment being planned for the second quarter of 2008. The drives are set to arrive in capacities ranging from 16GB to 1.6TB. Prices of the new drives have not been announced.

BiTMICRO Prepares 416GB 2.5-inch Solid State Drive

California-based BiTMICRO has unveiled its latest line-up of solid state drive (SSDs), the E-Disk Altima. The Altima drives feature the EDSA flash I/O controller and the LUNETA memory flash interface and although they are based on the old PATA 133 technology, they promise to deliver high transfer speeds. Set to bring high-capacity and high-performance yet cost-effective solid state storage to servers and storage networks, the 2.5-inch E-Disk Altima drives use single level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory chips and will offer read speeds of up to 133MB/s and write speeds up to 100MB/s. The new drive series will include models with capacities ranging from 4GB up to an impressive 416GB. The first E-Disk Altima samples will be ready in early 2008 while the drives' shipping date is planned for March 2008.
