NAXN Basic - The Power Supply for Professional System Building

NAXN Basic is specially designed for the needs of professional system assemblers. It is equipped with good-quality components and comes with an advanced protection circuit to ensure a long-during and reliable operation. As usual, Enermax applies a Multi-Rail Design: Two 12V rails provide the main system components like CPU or graphics cards with most stable voltages.

The new Enermax CPU cooler product range has made a successful market debut. Especially the side-flow series ETS-T40 has quickly grown in popularity. Many independent hardware testers highlight the performance capability and the excellent price-performance ratio of the Enermax cooler. Equipped with a smooth-running Twister fan and a highly flexible PWM speed control, offering a wide range from 800 to 1,800 RPM, ETS-T40 is not only the best choice for high-end systems, but also for silent PCs.

LGA 2011 ready!

Enermax now delivers all ETS-T40 models with an upgrade kit to support the latest Intel CPU platform LGA 2011. On the product packaging, end users can find a note about the LGA 2011 readiness of the CPU cooler. The delivery includes a set of additional four screws that enables the installation on LGA 2011 sockets.

Over the weekend, Enermax unveiled the windowed Ostrog ATX mid-tower chassis (model: ECA3253-BR) in Asia. Ostrog made its first appearance at this year's CeBIT event, in early-March. The exhibited variant, however, lacked a side-panel window. Pictured below, the case features a large acrylic window that has vents cut into it, for two 120 mm fans.

Ostrog is an ATX mid-tower case that's all black (interior and exterior), with a colored frame on its front-panel. It has four exposed 5.25" drive bays, and one exposed 3.5" bay. Including that, there are six 3.5" bays. A set of three 3.5" drive bays is detachable, creating extra headroom (413 mm) for long graphics cards. With the drive cage in place, there's about 286 mm of room for graphics cards.

Enermax unveiled the NX-series entry-level, and EX-series mainstream PSUs for gaming PCs. The NX-series includes 350W, 450W, and 600W models; while the EX-series includes 450W, 550W, and 650W models. The NX-series models offer around 80% efficiency, which is as high as 86% for the 600W model. The 350W model includes just the one 6-pin PCIe power connector, while the 450W and 600W have 6-pin + 8-pin (6+2) connectors.

The EX-series, on the other hand, offers efficiency as high as 88%, with 6-pin + 8-pin (6+2) connectors on all models. Both NX-series and EX-series feature sturdy volcanic ash-coated steel shells, 120 mm fans (NX-series lacks illumination, EX-series has blue-LED illumination), delayed fan power-off, ErP Lot 6 compliance, and and stylish sleeved cables. Pricing and availability information is awaited.

Enermax has today announced the European availability of its January-unveiled Staray Silence (model ECA3175-S) midi-tower PC chassis. This case measures 450 (D) x 185 (W) x 411 (H) mm and features a steel structure, an all-black paint job, micro ATX and ATX motherboard support, and a front I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports and HD/AC'97Audio connectors.

The Staray Silence also has four 5.25-inch and six 3.5-inch bays (all with tool-free mounting systems), seven PCI expansion slots, two pre-drilled holes at the back (for watercooling tubing), and two 120 mm T.B.Silence fans (one in the front and one at the rear). The case is selling for 51.06 Euro.

Enermax showed off the ELC-120, one of its first closed-loop (self-contained) CPU liquid coolers. The new series profits from the big technological progress of the Enermax research and development department during the last years. Quality, stability, safety - in all of these three categories Triathlor will take a leading position. Therefore, the new PSU series will have a big potential to continue the line of great classics from Enermax. The market introduction is scheduled for the second half of the year 2012.

With the successful market introduction of the CPU cooler range in 2011, Enermax demonstrated its know-how in the field of PC cooling. Behind the scenes, the manufacturer is already working on a further extension of his product portfolio. At CeBIT, Enermax will reveal the first results of its research and development department and present the first prototype of a new liquid cooler.

New Enermax Entry-Level Cases

During the last months, Enermax has also expanded its position in case market. Models like the Midi Tower Hoplite or the flagship case Fulmo GT have set new benchmarks and are recommended by hardware magazines around the globe.

CeBIT visitors will have the chance to preview the new entry-level class from Enermax including models like the Staray Silence or the plain and compact Midi Tower Ostrog (Pictured Below). Apart from that, the manufacturer will display a prototype of the Hoplite GT, a Full Tower version of the successful Hoplite case. It is dedicated to real hardware and gaming enthusiasts.

With the ever-shrinking laptops of today, space constrains mean that each component on the logic board has lesser board space, as is the case with audio. The cylindrical capacitors and FETs on PC motherboards are reduced to weaker surface-mount ones to conserve board space, on laptop logic boards. Audio quality takes a beating. Hence there's a sizable market for USB audio devices that provide better audio for laptops. Enermax' entry into it is the DreamBass AP001, a 2-channel USB audio device. It is designed to look like a vacuum tube that gives it a classy analog amp look.

In reality, it is completely digital. At the heart of it is a VIA VT1620A USB 2.0 2-channel HD audio CODEC, which provides stereo output with 24-bit resolution and 96 kHz sample-rate. It has a signal-noise ratio of 80~90 dBA, which is not much of a departure from most laptops' HDA CODECs, if it isn't for the MOSFET-based amplifier circuit packed into the DreamBass AP001, that's capable of 80Hz/+6dB Bass. The device features a 3.5 mm stereo jack and mic input. Enermax also has a variant called the AP001E, which includes earphones that have 10 mm drivers, 95 dBA SNR, and 32 ohm impedance. The DreamBass AP001 is priced at 3,280 JPY (US $43); the AP001E goes for 3,980 ($52.2). It could be a good investment if you think your laptop's audio sounds like a greeting card.

After its launch two years ago, the good-quality, pure and simple Staray case with its intensive Apollish light effects has successfully established itself on the market. Due to its excellent price-performance ratio, the midi tower is still very popular amongst end users as well as professional system builders. To open up new target groups, Enermax decided to extend the case series with two new models.

The successful Enermax Modu87+ has found a worthy successor: Revolution87+ continues the outstanding power supply series. ENERMAX introduces a new down flow CPU cooler, the ETD-T60 series. Enermax announced two new high power PSUs that are compliant with the 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating, under the MaxRevo series. It includes 1350W and 1500W models. The two are designed for gaming PCs with four graphics cards, a ton of hard drives, and possibly even a dual-socket workstation. The MaxRevo PSUs use Copper-Bridge Array transmission technology that is claimed to deliver a 'cleaner' DC output. The 12V circuit is spread across six rails, and is backed by eight kinds of protection circuitry.
