New Force 3D HD 4890 Accelerator Needs Only One Power Connector

Force 3D rolled out a refreshing take on the ATI Radeon HD 4890 with its own-design F4890P-G5-350-FS. This model offers all features of the GPU running at AMD reference clock speeds of 850/975 MHz (core/memory), while needing only one 6-pin power connector, while most other accelerators based on the GPU require two, some overclocked models even needing a 6+2 pin power connector to replace one of them. Force3D Ushers Forth HD 4870 SKU Specifications

Force3D has, today, announced the specifications of its first SKU powered by AMD's HD 4870 GPU. A core speed of 750 MHz, paired together with 512 MB of GDDR5 memory running at a frequency of 3.6 GB/s are the order of the day, whilst technicalities such as the presence of 800 stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface prove commonality with AMD's HD 4850 offering. Using Extreme settings, Force3D's own 3DMark Vantage results claim that their HD 4870 iteration has a speed advantage of 58% over the HD 3870X2.

Inno3D to Start Selling ATI Graphics Cards Using Force3D Brand?

Unfortunately there is very little to go on here as I can't translate Chinese, but it looks like PCZILLA.NET is reporting that Inno3D, which currently specialises in producing NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards, could soon begin selling ATI cards using the brand Force3D. There are a couple of images below which support this story, but bear in mind that it could just be another one from the rumour mill.
