ASUS ET2700 All-in-One PC Coming to Europe Next Month

One month after making its North American debut, ASUS' ET2700 27-inch All-in-One desktop PC is now gearing up to reach European retail and e-tail. Set to ship in Europe next month, the All-in-One (codenamed ET2700INKS-B005C) has a Full HD (1920 x 1080) MVA display, a Core i5-2400S processor, 6 GB of RAM, a 2 TB (5400 RPM) hard drive, a GeForce GT 540M 1 GB graphics card, and a Blu-ray combo drive.

ASUS' PC also packs Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 3-in-1 card reader, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, a TV tuner, two 3.5W speakers (an external subwoofer is included in the package), two USB 3.0 ports, and both D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

The ET2700 runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, it comes bundled with a wireless keyboard and mouse and a remote control, and is set to cost 1,399 Euro.

3D Gaming Now Possible on Toshiba Glasses-Free 3D Laptop

Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce 3D support for the groundbreaking Qosmio F755 3D, enabling users to experience glasses-free 3D gaming1 for the first time ever on a laptop. The update is currently available for download via Toshiba's Service Station utility.

"We have been working closely with NVIDIA to bring 3D gaming capabilities to the Qosmio F755, a killer feature that has yet to be realized in the PC industry," said Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. ASRock Gives Vision 3D Sandy Bridge Power

ASRock's frontline mini PC product, Vision 3D, is set to get a hardware specifications update, to the second generation Intel Core processor "Sandy Bridge" family, from its current Core "Westmere" family. The new model will be available with your choice of Core i3, i5, or i7 processor, and will come with an updated connectivity. Aiding the Sandy Bridge processor will be NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M GPU. Using NVIDIA Optimus technology, users will be able to switch between the GeForce discrete GPU and the Intel integrated GPU. The desktop supports NVIDIA's stereo 3D technologies.

In its tiny dimensions of 200mm(W) x 70mm(H) x 200mm(L), the Vision 3D packs 4 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1333 MHz memory, several storage options, a slot-in Blu-ray drive and connectivity that includes four USB 3.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, 8 channel THX-compliant audio with optical SPDIF output, and display outputs that include HDMI 1.4 and DVI. A Windows Media Center Remote comes bundled, completing the package of what will be a great mate for your HDTV.

Toshiba Intros 3D-ready Dynabook T551 15.6-inch Notebook

Toshiba released its latest stereoscopic 3D ready notebook in Japan, the Dynabook T551. This 15.6-inch notebook is driven by Intel's Huron River (Sandy Bridge mobile) platform, consisting of Intel Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor clocked at 2.00 GHz. Up to 8 GB of memory can be opted for, 4 GB being standard. Graphics duties are assigned to NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M GPU with 1 GB of dedicated memory. The 15.6-inch screen offers native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. 3D viewing requires putting on 3D glasses.

Other features include an almost full keyboard with number pad cluster, 750 GB of hard drive based storage, a Blu-ray drive that supports BD-3D, and a webcam. Connectivity includes USB 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI 1.4a to extend the display. Windows 7 Home Premium x64 is the OS of choice, and comes pre-installed. The company did not give out pricing details yet.

NVIDIA Announces GeForce GT 540M Notebook GPU

NVIDIA introduced the GeForce GT 540M notebook GPU, the first GPU in our GeForce 500M family of notebook GPUs. OEMs are launching these Optimized notebooks with GeForce GT 540M GPUs and dual-core "Arrandale" CPUs in order to hit mainstream price points sooner, ahead of Huron River dual-core platforms that will not be released until later in 2011. It is available immediately in China from Acer, and will be available worldwide next month.

With GeForce GT 540M, we are taking an already proven architecture and using the maturity of the manufacturing process to create GPUs with higher clock settings while staying in the same power envelope. As a result, the GeForce GT 540M delivers a significant increase in fill-rate and memory bandwidth, which ultimately translates to better overall performance.
