The K60M PLUS is a keyboard with sleek, frameless aluminum design. ASUS Intros ROG Horus GK2000 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

ASUS today rolled out the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Horus GK2000 RGB mechanical gaming keyboard. A revision of the Horus GK2000 the company launched back in early-2016 with red LED lighting, the Horus GK2000 RGB, as its name suggests, updates the original with RGB LED lighting. The lighting can be controlled by ASUS Aura Sync RGB software, with which you can set color, brightness, and lighting patterns for each individual key. The keyboard features Cherry MX RGB series switches, with 16.8 million-color RGB diodes. ASUS bumped up the keyboard's onboard storage to 8 MB, to locally store not just your macros, but also your lighting settings. Available now, the ASUS ROG Horus GK2000 RGB is expected to be priced at USD $199.

Kinesis Announces Freestyle Edge Split Keyboard for Preorder

Kinesis is a company with over 25 years of experience developing and selling ergonomic peripherals such as their Advantage keyboard and partnering with others such as DXT and Evoluent for mice. Their products have been predominantly on the higher end of the price range for keyboards, and they do not offer a keyboard with features that the gaming keyboard market tends to look at- until now. Kinesis have now announced an update to their Freestyle series of split keyboards that aims to appeal to both the gamer and the typing professional alike in the form of the new Freestyle Edge.

The Freestyle Edge introduces genuine Cherry MX mechanical switches to the Freestyle series, a change from the membrane switches before. Customers can choose between Cherry MX Red, Brown or Blue switches, and the keyboard has blue backlighting added as well now. In addition, there is an 8-key macro bank to make use of a fully programmable keyboard with some preset functions pre-programmed included multimedia control and lighting control.

Logitech Announces CRAFT Keyboard with Input Dial

Logitech (on August 31, 2017) announced CRAFT, an advanced keyboard with a creative input dial, setting a new standard for computer keyboards. Sharkoon Announces PureWriter TKL Gaming Keyboard

Sharkoon expands their range of mechanical keyboards and introduces the PureWriter TKL, an innovative mechanical keyboard with low-profile switches from the micro-switch Asian specialist Kailh. These innovative, flat mechanical switches enable the compact and flat design of the Sharkoon PureWriter: TKL stands for tenkeyless - the keyboard comes without a number block. The PureWriter TKL is currently available with red and blue switches; brown switches will follow shortly.

With the PureWriter TKL, Sharkoon presents a purist keyboard for all occasions, which, in addition to its light and compact construction, stands out through its innovative mechanical switches in ultra-flat design. Thanks to the missing number block, the frameless keyboard measures a compact 355 mm in length, 127 mm wide and only 23 mm in height when the feet are folded-in, making it as flat as possible. It weighs only 503 grams. It also offers all the technical essentials with n-key rollover, anti-ghosting keys and a polling rate of 1,000 Hz. The PureWriter TKL Blue offers the usual characteristics of the same mechanical switches or rather an acoustic, tactile feedback with a detectable switching point. The distance to actuation point is only 1.5 mm and an operating force of 55 grams.

Tesoro Intros Gram SE Spectrum Gaming Keyboard

Tesoro today launched the Gram SE Spectrum mechanical gaming keyboard. The company had unveiled the keyboard at the 2017 Computex, earlier this year. Available in black and white body color options, the keyboard features a standard 104-keyset with Tesoro's in-house Optical Switches, which offer faster response time and higher durability than conventional mechanical switches.

It's not just the keycaps, even the switches of the Gram SE Spectrum are hot-swappable. The underlying electronics are driven by an ARM SoC, with 512 KB of native storage for macro layouts and lighting customization, and full N-key rollover and anti-ghosting. The keyboard earns its "Spectrum" moniker from 16.7 million-color RGB LED lighting. The keyboard is also spill-proof, featuring IP56 certification. Measuring 447 mm x 136 mm x 33 mm (WxDxH), the keyboard weighs about 1.19 kg. Available now, both color options of the Tesoro Gram SE Spectrum are priced at USD $119.

Razer Unveils Tenkeyless Chroma V2 Keyboard

Razer is launching an updated, TKL (Tenkeyless) version of the Chroma V2 keyboard, which we covered back in January. The keyboard's actual product name is "Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma V2". Like the Chroma V2, it's available with Razer's three desktop switches (Yellow, Orange, or Green), and boasts a detachable USB cable and likewise detachable wrist rest.

Unchanged BlackWidow features on this Chroma V2 version include Razer's Chroma lighting (which boasts individually backlit keys at 16.8 million colors per key), with Chroma effects powered by Razer's Synapse software. 10 key roll-over anti-ghosting and fully programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording options are present, with the keyboard featuring 1000 Hz polling, a braided USB cable, a USB pass-through and a 3.5 mm 4-pole audio pass-through jack.

Riotoro Intros the Ghostwriter Classic Gaming Keyboard

You get hotkeys that set LED lighting and color from across a 16.7 million color palette on-the-fly, as well as some groovy lighting effect presets. Cherry Intros the MX Board 1.0 TKL Keyboard

Cherry, makers of the popular Cherry MX mechanical keyboard switches, which also sells its own line of gaming keyboards under the MX Board brand, introduced the MX Board 1.0 TKL (tenkeyless). The keyboard is further available in three variants based on switch model (MX Red, MX Blue, and MX Brown); and two sub-variants based on switch type (linear-push, and pressure-point). The minimalistic design is somewhat destroyed by the bright, screaming, angry red WASD keys, but there's no denying you'll be hard-pressed to confuse them with other, non life-saving movement keys.

Tesoro Shows off Gram SE Spectrum Keyboard

Tesoro showed off the second-edition of its Gram series gaming keyboard, the Gram SE Spectrum. This keyboard differs from its predecessor in taking advantage of Tesoro's in-house Optical switches, while the older Gram uses mechanical switches. Its electronics offer full NKRO (n-key rollover), letting you make any number of simultaneous key presses, and having them all register. An optical switch uses laser light obstruction to register a key-press, and is extremely accurate compared to electrical switches.
