Logitech G Introduces New PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset

Logitech G, a brand of Logitech and leading innovator of gaming technologies and gear, announced today the ultimate esports headset - the new Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset. Designed and tested with top esports athletes, the new PRO X 2 headset features all new, revolutionary PRO-G GRAPHENE Audio Drivers, making it the pinnacle of gaming audio and a must-have headset for the most discerning and competitive players.

"The core philosophy of the Logitech G PRO Series is about creating gear that meets the demanding needs of professional esports athletes and competitive gamers," says Chris Pate, Principal Product Manager, Logitech G PRO Series. "With PRO X 2, we've achieved a groundbreaking level of performance by redesigning our PRO-G drivers with Graphene audio technology. This delivers high fidelity sound with extremely low distortion, giving pros the performance they need to play to their maximum potential."

Alleged Logitech G Pro X Hyperlight Wireless Gaming Mouse Appears Online

Logitech's competitive "G" gaming brand released a short teaser video on Friday (May 19) that alludes to an upcoming next gen product - with a cryptic message: "Built with Pros. Made for you. 05.24.2023." Gaming mouse enthusiasts were quick to leap into speculation mode and predicted that Logitech is set to reveal a successor to the G Pro X (GPX) Superlight (weighing in at 61-63 g) wireless gaming mouse - this model and its (sort of) predecessor 2018's Logitech G Pro Wireless (GPW) have been widely adopted by competitive multiplayer gamers. Others have tempered expectations, and reckon that a new lineup of gaming-oriented headphones is incoming.

The GPX and GPW models have topped mouse popularity charts consistently for the past four years, but hardcore FPS-heads have long wondered when Logitech would eventually catch up with the likes of Razer in terms of cutting-edge sensor and wireless technology. A retail listing on China's online shopping platform, Taobao, has seemingly broken Logitech's (intended?) teaser marketing method - leaked images show a new wireless model called "GPRO X Hyperlight," along with an alleged unit weight of 49 grams, a 35K Hero Sensor, an 8 Khz LIGHTSPEED wireless polling rate, and Lightforce hybrid switches. The Taobao page has since disappeared but the information has been preserved and shared on social media and Reddit. Debates have raged about the authenticity of this leak, so the images and spec details should be taken with a grain of salt.

Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT in Neon Yellow Colorway Is Leaked by Online Store in Singapore

A well reputed Singaporean electronics store has created a pre-order listing for a bright yellow version of Logitech's G PRO X SUPERLIGHT wireless gaming mouse. The pre-order page seems to have appeared at some point late last week, on e-commerce marketplace Carousell SG, and keen eyed members of the /mousereview subreddit were quick to post about the newly leaked edition.

Logitech G and Herman Miller is Planning to Release a New Gaming Chair

Back in July 2020, Logitech G and Herman Miller unveiled a special edition of the Embody chair from Herman Miller as a gaming chair unlike anything that was on the market at the time. It didn't get rave reviews as a gaming chair, although it's considered a very good office chair in the Herman Miller range. There was also the issue of the asking price, which was a steep US$1,495.

Fast forward to 2022 and the two companies are planning to release what they call an "ergonomic chair designed to adapt to every gamer's needs". The two companies have apparently had a closer collaboration this time and have created their "first-ever design built from the ground up to support every mode of play". The new chair is set to launch on the 6th of October and until then we only have a small teaser picture of what appears to be the back of the chair and what should be the lumbar support adjustment wheel.

Logitech G FITS Gaming Earbuds Leak

Back in October 2020, Logitech launched the Ultimate Ears UE FITS earbuds, with its unique feature being custom moldable tips. This in itself wasn't something new, but the trick here was that it could be done at home, using built in LEDs in the earbuds that warmed out the gel-like material, something referred to as Lightform Technology. Now it looks like Logitech is about to launch an updated version of the FITS under its Logitech G gaming brand, based on a leak from 91mobiles. The overall design remains the same from what we can tell from the pictures, although we don't know if anything has changed on the inside.

What we do know is that the Logitech G FITS will come with a USB dongle, as well as what looks like a USB-A to USB-C adapter, so the G FITS can be used with both PCs and consoles, in addition to phones and tablets. The UE FITS have dropped significantly in price since launch, as they now retail for around US$179, versus US$249 at launch. We'd expect Logitech to charge slightly more for the G FITS, due to the inclusion of the USB dongle.

Logitech G Gaming Handheld Points to a Cloud-based Handheld Console Future

While high-end smartphone SoCs pack an incredible amount of graphics processing power, they're expensive; and bringing 5 W-class PC mobile processors to the Console, such as the Steam Deck, limits AAA gameplay capability. Logitech G has a frugal idea for markets with good saturation of Internet—cloud gaming. The Logitech G Gaming Handheld is just that—an Android-based handheld device with a custom UI, a touchscreen, and a gamepad layout similar to a contemporary handheld gaming console.

The idea behind Logitech G Gaming Handheld is that the user has a cool-and-quiet device in their hands that brings Cloud Gaming to them. Logitech doesn't have a cloud-gaming service of its own, but since the device is Android-based, it will hook you up with GeForce NOW, PS Now, Stadia, Amazon Luna, Blacknut, etc. At its core is a Qualcomm G3X-based SoC, a 6.65-inch touchscreen, a conventional gamepad layout, a microSD expansion slot, and audio jack. There's no word on the comms, but it's likely that you get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Logitech is promising a launch later this year.

When we looked at our own gaming products, we realized we could be doing more," said Ujesh Desai, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech G. "With the Aurora Collection we've created a gender-inclusive collection centered around comfort, approachability and playfulness that supports our long-term commitment to enabling everyone to experience the joy of play."
