Cooler Master Presents New Case Designs at CES - Updates NR200P Series

Cooler Master has showcased a wide variety of new case designs, as well refreshed versions of enthusiast favorites at CES 2024—the NR200P Vision was given special placement on a purple lit podium. This striking revisement of CM's original NR200P model presents itself as a futuristic concept—a crowd of attendees was drawn to this compact spectacle. Cooler Master states that NR200P Vision's feature set would normally be reserved for high-end or studio-level enclosures, but they have worked on integrating these into a space-saving profile. Support for 240 and 280 mm liquid coolers is mentioned on their interactive tablet display, as well as a provision for large GPUs (356 mm long, 160 mm high) via a vertical mounting system. An extra holder will be included to keep everything firmly in place. TPU staffers noticed that the Vision was fitted with wood (effect?) feet, suggesting that some style notes have been taken from Fractal Design's book.

The NR200P Vision features vented steel construction and striking tempered glass side panels—Cooler Master claims that this headliner has the performance to match its good looks. The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer made some room at their booth for another NR200-series refresh—a NR200P V2 model was presented in black or white options. Past feedback has been taken onboard; the chassis design team has made sure to update the front I/O panel with a much requested USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C port (offering up to 20 Gb/s transfer speeds). It seems that the NR200P Vision has received the same front-facing connectivity treatment.

Cooler Master Rolls Out New Cases at CES 2020: MasterBox TD500 Takes Centerstage

Cooler Master rolled out a handful new cases at the 2020 International CES. This include a new high cost-value mid-tower called the MasterBox TD500, available in black and white trims. The case is characterized by a polygonal, asymmetric front panel that beats boring flat surfaces. A large mesh intake covers almost the entire front, from which the case breathes through three 120 mm intake fans. This spot can be used even for a 360 mm radiator. The 3-D design extends to even the precision-milled tempered glass side panel, which defies convention of being flat. Inside is a conventional horizontally-partitioned layout. Available from later this month, the MasterBox TD500 is priced at USD $89.

Next up is the massive MasterBox NR600P, a full-tower designed for workstations, HEDTs, and RGB heathens. The case supports SSI-EEB, E-ATX, and smaller form-factors. It's opaque on all sides, but there are enough vents for a basic positive pressure air-channel. Slated for May 2020, Cooler Master is pricing the case at an inviting $129. Lastly, there are the MasterBox MB311L and 320L ARGB, a pair of roomy micro-ATX gaming cases characterized by large front intakes that are dominated by a pair of RGB fans, and a horizontally-partitioned interior. The MB311L ARGB has a mesh intake, while the MasterBox MB320L ARGB has front intakes along the sides of the front panel, with a mirror-finish transparent panel along the front. Both these cases are slated for Q2-2020, priced at $40 a pop.

Cooler Master MasterBox MB600L, Liquid Cooling on a Budget

Unlike yesteryear when computer cases were limited to beige, or off-beige, for the adventurous, buyers today have a plethora of choices. The Cooler Master MasterBox MB600L, which is available with a choice of three different side trim colors (red, blue or gunmetal), as well as an optional optical disc drive (ODD) bay, reflects this greater attention to style. In addition to a neutral all-black background, the MB600L features a brushed front panel, PSU cover, an edge to edge transparent, acrylic side panel and sufficient space for routing cables.

Equal attention was paid to the case's interior design. The MB600L supports ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, GPUs up to 16.14" (400mm), PSUs as long as 7.1" (180mm) and CPU coolers up to 6.3" (160mm) in height. Cooling options are equally plentiful. While there is only a single rear 120mm fan, the front can accommodate two 140mm fans, two 120mm fans (w. ODD) or three 120mm fans (w/o ODD). Radiators are limited to 280 mm, or 360mm if the ODD is not present. It is important to note that the maximum thickness, in the case of the latter, is 50mm without fans. All for the suggested retail price of $50 US, and you even get front and bottom dust filters. According to Cooler Master the case is available now, but none of the retailers I checked have listed it just yet.

This is quite an interesting piece, and is meant to be integrated with your decor as much as with your gaming hardware.
