Microsoft Bringing More Style to its Mouse Lineup

Microsoft's Hardware team has today revealed some colorful new additions to its mouse offer, five fresh artistic patterns, for the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and Arc Touch Mouse, and several limited edition shades, for the Explorer Touch Mouse and WMM 3500.

The added Artist Edition surfaces come from five new designers - Kenzo Minami, Stina Persson, Oh Joy!, Tchmo and Sally Zou, and are available here (Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Limited Edition Artist Series) and here (Arc Touch Mouse Limited Edition Artist Series).

Corsair Announces $10,000 Vengeance Cup Online Tournament for League of Legends

ROCCAT Savu Gaming Mouse Set for May Arrival

Hamburg-based peripheral maker ROCCAT has today officially announced the Savu 'Mid-Size Hybrid Gaming Mouse'. This new, game-ready rodent comes equipped with a 'true' 4000 dpi optical sensor and features a right-handed design, a Soft-Touch coating, no sweat side grips, the Easy-Shift[+] technology enabling advanced configuration, and a braided cable.

Savu also comes with a stats and trophy system named the ROCCAT Achievements Display (R.A.D.) and makes use of a lighting system boasting 16.8 million colors. ROCCAT will show off this mouse at CeBIT and plans to have it in stores in early May. No word on pricing yet.

Elecom Unveils Wireless Mouse With Up To 3.5 Years Battery Life

Japanese company Elecom unveiled the M-IR03DR wireless optical mouse series, that boasts of battery life up to 3.5 years with typical usage (office). The mouse makes use of low-power electronics to achieve that. The mouse uses an infrared optical sensor for tracking, with resolution settings of 1,600 and 800 dpi. Oriented for right-handed users, the mouse has five buttons, with the two buttons on the side working as back and forward buttons in web-browsers.

The mouse communicates to the host over 2.4 GHz radio band, and is compliant with VCCI CLASS B regulations to provide less interference to other devices operating in this band. Measuring 15 x 18 x 5.0 mm, the mouse weighs 82 g without batteries. It requires two AA-size batteries. It is available in three color options: black (M-IR03DRBK), silver (M-IR03DRSV0), and white (M-IR03DRRD). It is priced at 5,145 JPY (US $64.5).

Sharkoon Teases with DarkGlider Gaming Mouse

Sharkoon released the first picture of its upcoming high-end gaming mouse, named DarkGlider. The teaser pic reveals the mouse to be right-hand oriented, and using a laser-based tracking mechanism. The top-left corner of the mouse, next to the left-click button, reveals a small LCD display with a readout "6000", possibly indicating its resolution to be 6,000 dpi. Apart from its three main buttons, the mouse has a 2-axis scroll-wheel, sensitivity adjustments, macro selection, and two side buttons. Sharkoon will announce the DarkGlider at this year's CeBIT event, in March.

Gaming peripherals major Roccat Studios released a teaser picture of its latest gaming mouse, the Roccat Savu. The Level 10 M Mouse by Thermaltake and BMW Designworks

This must be the coolest high performance mouse to be seen in some time. The Level 10 M mouse designed by Thermaltake and BMW is being introduced at CES 2012. Featuring a very high tech design, the shape can be physically adjusted to fit optimally in the palm of the hand by turning a screw on the top. It also features a perforated skin, to help deal with sweaty palms better during intense gaming sessions. The release date and price are yet to be announced as are more detailed specifications such as the tracking technology used and the DPI resolution.

Elecom Unveils New Gaming Mice with Cross Axis DPI Settings

Japanese company Elecom unveiled a new line of gaming mice featuring cross-axis sensitivity settings, giving you the ability to tune the sensitivity of the mouse by tuning the X and Y axes independently. The sensitivity setting is then displayed back to the user by LEDs on the mouse, next to button 1. The M-H1ULBK and M-H2DLBK launched today have the same exact design, except that the M-H2DLBK is capable of both wireless and wired opteration. The M-H1ULBK is wired.

The M-H1ULBK features a 5310 dpi optical sensor (can be tuned between 90 dpi and 5310 dpi), with 1000 Hz polling rate. It has a 1.8 m braided USB cable. The M-H2DLBK, on the other hand, packs a 5600 dpi sensor, which can be tuned between 100 and 5600 dpi. It offers a polling rate of 500 Hz when functioning wireless, and 1000 Hz when wired. Both measure W77.6 x D124.5 x H41.8 mm, the M-H1ULBK weighs 155 g (including cable), while the M-H2DLBK weighs 137 g when wireless, and 187 g when wired. Both mice feature 7 buttons, with on the fly dpi settings. Slated for May launch, the M-H2DLBK will be priced at 15,435 JPY (US $200), and the M-H1ULBK at 9,870 JPY ($128).

SteelSeries Kana, Kinzu V2 Pro Edition and Kinzu V2 Gaming Mice Announced
