At the 2023 International CES, market leader Kingston expanded their FURY line of enthusiast-gaming PC memory with the introduction of several new DDR5 memory kits. The top-of-the-line FURY Renegade series comes in RGB and non-RGB trims, and with speeds of up to DDR5-7200 with Intel XMP 3.0 support. For the AMD crowd, the company showed off the FURY Beast RGB, which comes in speeds of up to DDR5-6000, and features AMD EXPO profiles along with extensive validation with Ryzen 7000 series processors.

For those still making the transition between DDR4 and DDR5, Kingston introduced the FURY Beast DDR4 RGB, which looks visually similar to their DDR5 FURY Beast, but comes with speeds of up to DDR4-3600, with validation on AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors. It also supports an Intel XMP 2.0 profile. For high-end gaming notebooks and SFF platforms, including the Intel NUC 12 Extreme, Kingston introduced the FURY Impact line of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory, which comes in speeds of up to DDR5-5600.

Akasa today rolled out the Cypher EB, a premium aluminium case for the Intel NUC 12 Extreme, with preparation for a cooling-solution that's tailored to draw heat from all the important components on the motherboard. Measuring 200 mm x 216 mm x 53 mm (WxDxH), the case features an all-aluminium body. It supports NUC12EDBi9 and NUC12EDBi7 motherboards. You orient the board upside down, so the cooling solution draws air from the vents below, directing exhaust through one of the side panels. The case features two USB 3.1 type-A front-panel ports, and cutouts designed to align with the connectors of the two compatible motherboard models. Optional components include the cooling solution, a stand to orient the case sideways, and a 150 W power-brick.

Today, Intel announced the Intel NUC 12 Enthusiast Mini PC and Kit (code-named Serpent Canyon). Designed for gamers and content creators, the compact mini-PC is built to include Intel Arc graphics in the smallest form factor. The NUC 12 Enthusiast features the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors and is the first Intel NUC to include Intel Arc A-series graphics in the form of the Intel Arc A770M graphics processing unit (GPU).

Intel's latest NUC 12 Extreme desktops, codenamed "Serpent Canyon," are up for pre-order. These are the company's first gaming-grade NUCs to pack all-Intel hardware, including the GPU. "Serpent Canyon" combines 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake-H" processors with Arc "Alchemist" discrete GPUs, with options going all the way up to the Arc A770 for graphics, and a Core i7-12700H (6P+8E) for the CPU. In its base configuration with 8 GB (2x 4 GB) DDR4 memory, 256 GB M.2 NVMe storage, i7-12700H processor and Arc A770 graphics; the NUC 12 Extreme can be pre-ordered for £1,499 excluding VAT.
