KOEI Tecmo Announces Nioh 2: The Complete Edition Release on PC for February 2021

Nioh 2: The Complete Edition will be released for PC in February 2021, KOEI Tecmo has announced. The Complete Edition features the base game as well as its three expansions: "The Tengu's Disciple", "Darkness in the Capital", and the recently announced "The First Samurai". The game will be releasing on Steam, and the PC version will have some PC-centric features, as one would hope (but sometimes maybe not expect, unfortunately).

As part of its PC version, Nioh 2: complete Edition will feature support for 4K resolution as well as compatibility for ultrawide resolutions. HDR and 144Hz monitors are also supported, though maximum framerate will be capped to 120 FPS. Full mouse and keyboard customisation support, as well as gamepad compatibility, have also been announced. Check after the break for the announcement trailer.

Nioh: Complete Edition Now Available on Steam for $49.99

Today KOEI TECMO America announced the highly-anticipated return of the blond-haired swordsman with the release of Nioh: Complete Edition on Windows PC via Steam. Following the critically-acclaimed console debut earlier in 2017, Team NINJAs dark fantasy action-RPG re-emerges from the shadows, jam-packed with hours of additional DLC and new secrets to reveal, on an all new platform. As a special thank you to adventurers, the studio is offering the brand-new Dharmachakra Kabuto helmet as an exclusive piece of free content redeemable through the game. Nioh: Complete Edition is currently available for Windows PC via Steam for the price of $49.99.

Nioh: Complete Edition includes all three DLC expansions: Dragon of the North, Defiant Honor and Bloodshed's End - adding even more challenges and assorted ways to play, and die! With this edition, players will have access to all seven weapon types, ninjutsu and onmyo magics from the beginning, while progressing through the main story will eventually unlock features like the Dual Guardian Spirit.

Nioh Complete Edition Announced for Steam, Coming November 7th

If you're looking towards getting your next Dark Souls-like fix, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo's latest Nioh should set you right up for that. Another one of the Souls-inspired games we've been seeing recently (with the likes of Lords of the Fallen and The Surge), Nioh was marketed as a PS4-exclusive - though in reality, it is now making its way towards the PC. However, the developers have strayed far from the "Souls clone" stamp; instead, the focus was in taking inspiration from the Dark Souls formula and then subverting it with their own take.

It seems that this game will stand closer to the straight port territory than PC users would prefer, however; the presence of two different game modes that were also present in the PS4 version of the game, an Action Mode for 60 fps action and a Movie Mode for up to 4K displays, seems to point towards an automatic customization of settings based on the chosen mode. Reception for Nioh was very positive; the game currently stands with an 88 Metacritic score and an 8.5 user score. The Nioh Complete Edition will include all previously released DLC, and will be available on Steam starting November 7th.
