Fractal Announces Availability of its Refine Desk Chair Series

Fractal Refine is designed with a clear purpose in mind — to create a comfortable, versatile place to sit and become fully and enjoyably immersed in the gaming experience. To achieve this, we took inspiration from modern gaming spaces, Scandinavian furniture design and research-led ergonomic science, to fuse the ergonomics of high-end office chairs together with intuitive controls and an aesthetic designed to elevate the gaming station.

It offers a range of easy-to-use adjustment features, including headrest height, seat height and depth, lumbar support depth and height, armrests in four directions and tilt tension. The tilt is also lockable in thirteen positions and offers fluid, ergonomic recline thanks to the synchro-tilt mechanism which moves in tandem with the user's body as they lean back.

Fractal Brings a Chair, a Headset, and Two Cases at Computex 2024

Fractal, the Swedish company well known for making innovative PC cases, wants to create a new way of PC gaming. At Computex Taipei 2024, it introduced a line of new products, one of these is a desk chair (the first one ever made by Fractal) called Refine. It combines the comfort of high-end office chairs with special controls and a design made for gaming setups. Refine comes in mesh, fabric, and Alcantara finishes, and has premium features like adjustable lumbar support and armrests, aiming to provide comfort during long gaming sessions.

Fractal also showcased a gaming headset called Scape. It has custom-tuned speakers for high audio quality and a detachable microphone for clear communication. The headset comes with a wireless charging stand, so it's always ready for the next gaming session while keeping the desk tidy. Additionally, Fractal announced two new compact PC cases: Mood, and Era 2. The first one is designed to streamline the gaming setup with a sleek fabric outer body which slides off for 360° access to the build. It houses a powerful 180 mm fan at the top and can accommodate a 325 mm graphics card. The second case, Fractal Era 2 is a small form factor improved version of previous iterations, with better airflow through an anodized aluminium body and a wooden top panel. Inside, it can house a powerful GPU up to 326 mm in length and a range of cooling options.

Kolink Launches the Ethereal and Refine Chassis

Renowned for their innovative and high-performance cases, Kolink has now brought the new Ethereal & Refine to the market, representing a feature-rich gaming case that offers an abundance of space beneath its stylish exterior for all the powerful gaming hardware you could want. The tempered glass side door will allow users to enjoy an unobstructed view of their high-end gaming setup complete with compatibility for E-ATX motherboards.

Given the use of tempered glass, aesthetics are important, and a PSU shroud cleverly conceals unsightly cables. The front of the case that consists of brushed aluminium underlines the chic appearance that is also accentuated by the addition of a digitally addressable RGB-LED strip. The lighting can be controlled via a switch on the I/O panel. Alternatively, the strip can also be connected directly to a motherboard and controlled by RGB software. A fine mesh with integrated dust filter on the top ensures proper ventilation. A pre-installed 120 mm fan at the rear provides adequate ventilation. The Kolink Ethereal and Refine chassis are now available from £62.99.
