SilverStone introduced its flagship Strider Titanium line of high-wattage power supplies for enthusiast-segment gaming PCs and record-seeking overclocking builds. The lineup consists of 1100W, 1300W, and 1500W variants, and boasts of 80 Plus Titanium-certified efficiency. The units offer full modular cabling, with enough juice and straws for Core X or Threadripper HEDT builds with 3-way or 4-way multi-GPU configs. All models feature two 8-pin EPS connectors, which each collapse into 4+4 pin ATX, so you can power Intel X299 or AMD X399-chipset motherboards with two EPS inputs.

Under the hood, the Strider Titanium features a single +12V rail design on all variants, active PFC, and most common electrical protection mechanisms. The units also feature a compact 180 mm length, compared to other brands which typically come in 220 mm lengths for this kind of wattage. All three variants come with eight 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors, up to sixteen SATA power, and six 4-pin Molex connectors. The units are cooled by a 135 mm fan, which stays completely off when the load is under 20%. The company didn't reveal pricing.

The next in the long line of prototype cases at the SilverStone booth is the latest iteration of the SFF prodigy by the company, the Raven Z RVZ04. Its design is bolder than the current Raven Z, and encloses a micro-STX form-factor motherboard. This is a tiny 1U form-factor with DIY boards far a few between, but SilverStone's creation had a Core "Kaby Lake" quad-core processor, and a discrete graphics card. It doesn't have any storage areas of its own, and relies on any M.2 or mSATA slots on the motherboard. The case measures 238 mm x 81 mm x 199 mm (WxHxD), or about the size of a game console.

SilverStone also showed off a prototype of its second-generation Primera series "stylish" ATX mid-tower cases. The case features an all-steel construction, including its front door. The front is characterized by vertical slits and a silvery finish. The side is dominated by a black-tinted tempered glass panel. The case measures 220 mm x 490 mm x 473 mm (WxHxD). Under the hood, you get three 3.5-inch drive bays (which convert to 2.5-inch), three 2.5-inch mounts, and five 140 mm fan mounts, with an included 140 mm fan. A curious-looking IR remote was placed near this case with RGB LED (color/brightness), system power, and fan-speed controls. We're not sure if it's included with the case.

Here are some of the first pictures of SilverStone's Redline RL07 case prototypes. These stylish ATX mid-towers come in black with a dash of red, and white with a dash of blue, and are characterized by the front vertical dividing crease with LED inserts. The case is made almost entirely of SECC steel (including the front), while its side panel is made of tempered glass. The case measures 230 mm x 488 mm x 482 mm (WxHxD).

Under the hood, the SilverStone RL07 features three 3.5-inch HDD bays (which each convert to 2.5-inch), and three 2.5-inch mounts. Cooling system is bolstered by an all-140 mm mount layout. The case features a total of five 140 mm fan mounts, a 140 mm fan comes included with it. Front panel connectivity includes two each of USB 3.1/3.0 type-A, and USB 2.0/1.1 ports, and HDA jacks.

SilverStone showed off the Fortress Box (FTB01), an external Thunderbolt enclosure, which expands the connectivity of your notebook. The case stands tall, with a small desk footprint. It encloses a 500W power supply, and plugs into your machine with a Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gb/s) connection. Inside, you'll get a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, letting you install a high-end graphics card (over 25 cm long), and some front-panel connectivity such as USB 3.1 ports. The top of the enclosure scoops into a cavity with air vents, and is arched by a convenient handle.

Here are some of the first pictures of the latest-generation Argon 11 low-profile CPU cooler by SilverStone. Coupled with the fan, the cooler sits just 49 mm above the motherboard PCB when installed. It features a dense aluminium fin-stack to which heat drawn directly from the base is conveyed by four 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes. The base itself is made of a stack of the fins. The heatsink is ventilated by a 92 mm fan with PWM control. SilverStone claims that the cooler can handle thermal loads of up to 95W, making it fit for a wide range of CPUs.

SilverStone has announced new models for its Essential series of PSUs, which aim to bring quality to a lower pricing level than the more premium offerings, and allow SilverStone to cater to the high-volume market at the same time. These PSUs are Sirtec-made, and do cut some corners in order to address some aggressive pricing targets. Case in point: SilverStone rates these PSUs for 40ºC operation, a full 10ºC lower than the ATX specification defines, and includes only a few protections, namely Over Power, Over Voltage, and Short Circuit. The lacking OTP (Over Temperature Protection) would seem to be the best feature for such a model with a lower-rated operating temperature, but alas, this is what SilverStone offers.

The ET-550B, ET-650B are 80 Plus Bronze certified, and their +12V rails can deliver 504 and 600 W respectively. Their combined +3.3, +5V rating stands at 110 W for the 550B, and 120 W for the 650B. The cabling is fixed on both options, black-braided, and cooling is taken care of by tour average 120 mm Sleeve Bearing Fan. The PCIe connectors stand at 2x PCIe (1x 6+2 pin, 1x 6 pin) for the ET-550B, while the ET-650B doubles that amount to two of each. The dimensions stand at 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H) x 140 mm (D). European pricing seems to be the sweet spot for these PSUs, with the 550B coming in at around 53,50€ and the 650B upping the ante to 60,60€ (prices excluding VAT, however.) In the US, I don't expect these to sell well if they keep their pricing, where the 650B currently retails for $90.

If you're looking for an enclosure for a media streamer or a work computer, SilverStone has just announced a compact chassis that you might be interested in. The VT02 measures 6.5 (width) x 2.87 (height) x 6.16 inches (depth). The fact that the chassis supports a mini-STX motherboard means you will not be constrained by your choice of an off-the-shelf processor - just remember that a Kaby Lake CPU is required for 4K Netflix. You can even acquire a more powerful drop-in upgrade down the road. The height of the system, however, will severely constrain your choice of cooling, but if you're looking into such a product, you know this already.

The chassis supports 2x 2.5" hard drives or SSDs, with the front panel including 1x USB 3.0 Type-A, 1x USB 3.0 Type-C, and an audio and microphone jack. A vertical LED light bar on the front panel handles power-state notifications, and the case increases its air circulation through large vents on the top and sides. It sports a VESA MIS-D 75 x 75mm mounting plate, which allows this chassis to be attached to the back of your TV or monitor. The Vital Series VT02 Mini-STX has a one-year warranty, and retails for 28,90€ / $31.50.

That some M.2 SSDs throttle their speeds because of increased operating temperatures has already been demonstrated. Some companies, like Plextor, have even launched M.2 SSDs with specifically-developed heatsinks to reduce operating temperatures and thus reduce performance degradation. Other companies, Like MSI, have started incorporating M.2 heatsinks on their motherboard design, looking to attract more customers on the prospect of increased SSD performance - though some say the merits of MSI's approach are debatable.

Now, SilverStone has announced a more cost-effective - and compatible - way of improving thermals of your M.2 SSD of choice, by introducing its TP01-M2 thermal pads. These pads are colored blue (because blue means cool, see?), and the company claims their usage on a Samsung SM951 SSD brought about improvements of around 15ºC in the operating temperatures, down to 71ºC from the 86ºC sans thermal pads. These go for around 5€ a pack, which comes with two 20 mm (W) x 100 mm (D), one with 0.5 mm thickness, and another with improved cooling capabilities but a greater 1.5 mm thickness.

Want to add RGB LED bling to your machine but don't want to lose the steady hands of your high-end SanAce fans? SilverStone may have a way out. The FG121 and FG141 fan mounts latch on to your fans, and add RGB LED lighting. Made of clear acrylic, the mounts feature programmable RGB LED elements. The FG121 is designed for 120 mm fans, and is fitted with 24 LEDs. The FG141 is designed for larger 140 mm spinners, and holds 28 LEDs. It uses conventional 4-pin RGB LED control input. The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone showed us the ECM22, a neat accessory that provides M.2 slots to machines that lack them. The half-height PCI-Express 3.0 x4 addon card gives you two M.2-22110 (110 mm long) slots with PCI-Express 3.0 x2 wiring. One of the two slots features SATA wiring, which simply relays connection from a SATA port on your motherboard. The card doesn't have any native logic of its own, and as such NVMe booting support will depend on your motherboard BIOS supporting it. It could still come as a boon to setups such as video-editing rigs, in which the creative professional could want as many high-bandwidth storage devices as possible.

In yet another addition to their already populated line of computer cases, Silverstone has announced the release of the budget-oriented (by Silverstone's standards) RL06 ATX case. It is built primarily from steel and plastic, and sheds the more premium tempered glass alternative for a more cost-effective transparent plastic side window.

The RL06 will be available in two different color schemes: the usual, gamer-style black with red trim or a more subdued white with silver trim. The base model ships with a single 120mm fan on the rear of the case, but Silverstone also announced a Pro version which comes with three additional 120mm LED fans mounted on the front of the case.

SilverStone today announced availability of its 800W SFX-L form-factor power supply (model: LTI-SX800). This PSU was first unveiled at the 2016 Computex expo. Measuring 125 mm x 130 mm x 63.5 mm (WxDxH), this PSU is built for SFX-L ready cases such as the Fortress-Z (FTZ01B). It features full modular cabling, with enough wiring for a high-end gaming PC with up to two graphics cards.

Under the hood, the LTI-SX800 features a single +12V rail design with 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency, active PFC, and most common electrical protection mechanisms, against over/under voltage, over/under current, overload, overheat, and short-circuit protection. The unit is cooled by a 120 mm temperature-controlled fan. The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone introduced the NT08-115XP, an ultra-low profile CPU cooler designed for media PC builds, and replacement for stock coolers. This top-flow cooler measures 101 mm x 101 mm x 33 mm (LxWxH), and is made of a copper-cored aluminium heatsink with forked, spirally-projecting fins, ventilated by a 10 mm-thick 80 mm fan that spins between 1,200-3,400 RPM, pushing up to 5.64-15.98 CFM of air, with a noise output of 16.5-28.98 dBA. The cooler is designed specifically for Intel LGA115x series CPU sockets (LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA1150, LGA1151), and can handle thermal loads of up to 65W. It features a push-pin type retention mechanism similar to those found on Intel's stock coolers. The cooler is expected to go on sale on the 8th of December.

Drive bays in mid- and full-tower cases becoming fewer by the days, making room for larger add-on cards and cooling contraptions. SilverStone announced a premium case for those seeking more drive bays, the Case Storage series CS380. This case is ideal for video-editing rigs and home-servers. The star-attraction here is its storage area, which includes two 5.25-inch drive bays, and eight hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive bays with SATA back-planes, which are compatible with 2.5-inch drives. The caddies are shielded by a lockable ABS front-door.

The CS380 is made almost entirely of steel. The motherboard tray serves up space for add-on cards up to 24 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 14.6 cm in height. Its cooling system includes a pair of 120 mm fans (included) ventilating the drive cage, two 120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm exhaust. Front-panel connectivity includes a pair of USB 3.0 ports. The case measures 215.3 mm x 487.5 mm x 426.5 mm (WxDxH). The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone may have the most powerful and efficient power supply you can buy in the SFX-L form-factor. The new SX800-LTI from SilverStone belts out 800W of power at 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency, with a single +12V rail design, DC-to-DC switching, APFC, most common electrical protections, a 120 mm fan keeping things cool, and full modular cabling. There appears to be enough cabling for a machine with 2-3 high end graphics cards. SilverStone will likely include an adapter that lets you use this PSU on a standard ATX case.

SilverStone unveiled an AIO liquid CPU cooler with a fascinating 180 mm x 200 mm radiator, and the largest fan we've seen on an AIO cooler, at 160 mm with 15 mm thickness, the Tundra TD05. The idea behind this contraption is to offer cooling comparable to a 240 mm x 120 mm radiator, with a single fan that spins at moderate speeds. This cooler could be ideal for cases with large 160-200 mm fan vents along the side-panels. We doubt you'll come across a case with front/top panels with such big vents.

ECS partnered with Silverstone to co-develop the LIVA Pro, a NUC-rivaling product by ECS. It consists of a custom-design all-aluminium case by Silverstone, and innards by ECS, which include an LGA1151 socket to support Intel Core "Skylake" processors with TDP of up to 65W (some Core i5/i7 low-power quad-core parts should work); Intel H110 core-logic, two DDR4 SODIMM slots, one each of M.2 and 2.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s drive bays, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, USB 3.0 type-A and type-C front-panel ports, and more.

SilverStone updated the design of its smash-hit SFF case, the Raven Z, to accommodate full-size (ATX) PSUs. The new RVZ01B-E from SilverStone measures 382 x 350 x 105 mm, weighing 3.7 kg, and features a standard ATX (PS/2) power supply bay. Bear in mind, though, that you're limited to 150 mm long PSUs. Some >1000W boxes may still not fit. SilverStone recommends that you choose a 140 mm long PSU, for greater flexibility in dealing with your cable ramen. The company didn't announce availability, although it's reportedly priced at US $79.99.

SilverStone unveiled the Strider Titanium line of premium power supplies in mid-range capacities. As its name suggests, the Strider Titanium boasts of 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency. Available in capacities of 600W, 700W, and 800W, the Strider Titanium offers fully modular cabling, with flat cables; and is just 150 mm long. The units are cooled by a low-noise fan, which when spinning, can be as quiet as 18 dBA.

Under the hood, the Strider Titanium trio feature single +12V rail design, new-generation electricals with ±3% regulation and lower ripple/noise. All three models come with enough juice and straws for gaming PC builds with up to two high-end graphics cards, with four PCIe power connectors. The higher-wattage models even come with two EPS power connectors, making them ideal for dual-socket workstation motherboards. SilverStone didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone made additions to its Argon line of CPU coolers, with the new AR07 and AR08. The larger AR07 measures 140mm (W) x 50mm (D) x 159mm (H), including fan. Its heatsink weighs in at 453 g. Its rather contemporary design involves an aluminium fin-stack with a wavy "diamond edge" patterned fins that are designed to increase air-flow/turbulence, and with it heat dissipation, allowing SilverStone to keep fan-speeds and noise low. Three 8 mm-thick copper heat pipes draw heat directly from the CPU, to the fin-stack. The bundled 140 mm spinner does 800-1,500 RPM, pushing up to 93 CFM of air. The cooler supports all modern CPU socket types, including LGA2011v3, LGA115x, AM3+, and FM2+.

Next up, is the smaller AR08. This cooler is much smaller than the AR07, measuring 92mm (W) x 50mm (D) x 134mm (H) with fan, and weighing in at 285 g without fan. While it retains the aluminium fin-stack design elements from its larger sibling, including its three copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the CPU, it relies on a much smaller 92 mm spinner that does 1,500 to 2,800 RPM, pushing up to 49.5 CFM of air. The cooler still supports all modern CPU socket types, including LGA2011v3, LGA115x, AM3+, and FM2+. SilverStone didn't detail pricing.

Ahead of its November 2015 global launch, we got an exclusive sneak peak of SilverStone's upcoming Raven-branded ATX mid-tower chassis, the Raven RVX01. Made of ABS and steel, the case will offer the best design and practicality elements of the Raven series, at an affordable price, which will be game for even premium multi-GPU builds with heavy power supplies. It will come in two variants - with and without a side-panel window.

To begin with, the case features a top-oriented motherboard tray, in which the motherboard's I/O face the top, while the tray is accessible from the right panel. There's room for CPU coolers as tall as 162 mm, and graphics cards that are as long as 349 mm, and as tall as 150 mm (cards like the ASUS R9 Fury or GTX 980 Ti STRIX should be an easy fit). Also offered is an ATX PSU bay, with room for PSUs as long as 225 mm (big 1500W-class PSUs should fit).

To meet demands from professionals and enthusiasts with high performance storage demands, SilverStone created CPS03, a cable designed for Mini-SAS devices. With sideband connection (SGPIO) feature, the CPS03 is designed for always on and reliable operation with servers or workstations. On both ends of the cable are 36 pin SFF-8087 connector and SATA 7 pin * 4 (target device) with Sideband connector made out of industrial-grade material with weave sleeving for robust and trouble-free connections. Finally, CPS03's supports a four lane design to provide top performance for any professional SAS or SATA storage systems.

SilverStone announced the Kublai KL05 series case. The Kublai KL05 is a high quality ATX tower case designed for enthusiasts with the need for ample liquid cooling and storage space. It has convenient tool-less 5.25" drive bays and highly flexible cages designed to accommodate any combination of 2.5" or 3.5" drives. With a relatively tall and slender profile, it has surprising room for fitting liquid coolers.

Not only does it have complete support for 240mm and 280mm radiators on both the top and the front panel, it has numerous paths for tubing, mounting holes for fans, and easily removable filters for an exceptionally cool and clean build. KL05 is offered in two variations depending on front panel design so whether the preference is for a direct intake case with side window or a conservative, quiet build with indirect intake and sound-absorbing foam, there is a model perfectly suited for the intended task.
