Netgear Introduces Powerful New Unlocked 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Hotspot for $799.99

NETGEAR, Inc., the leading provider of award-winning connected products designed to simplify and improve people's lives, today launched a powerful addition to its unlocked 5G mobile hotspot lineup. At a time when access to fast, secure and reliable internet is more important than ever, the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Mobile Hotspot Router (MR6150) raises the mobile broadband experience to new heights by upping the maximum 5G speed that can be supported and adding 160 MHz capability to connect with the latest WiFi 6 client devices.

NETGEAR launched the world's first unlocked 5G hotspot in 2021 with the award-winning Nighthawk M5. Now the company is building on that achievement with the M6, which is 20 percent faster than the M5 at 2.5 Gbps over 5G and has the capacity to hit a maximum combined WiFi speed of up to 3.6 Gbps when connecting to 160 MHz WiFi 6 devices. Additionally, the M6 comes with a first of its kind new In-Home Performance Mode which boosts WiFi coverage up to 2,000 square-feet when the device is plugged in, and the battery is removed.

Intel Announces Next-Generation Atom Platform

Intel Corporation announced new Intel Atom processors today that feature integrated graphics built directly into the CPU, enabling improved performance and smaller, more energy-efficient designs in a new generation of netbooks and Atom-based entry level desktop PCs. Major OEMs have committed to having systems on the new Intel Atom processors and a new companion chipset available within the next few weeks.

The newest Intel Atom platform for netbooks consists of a new Intel Atom processor, the N450, and a new low-power Intel NM10 Express Chipset. For entry level desktop PCs, it consists of either the Intel Atom processor D410 or the dual core D510, also paired with the Intel NM10 Express Chipset. The Intel Atom processor was designed from the ground up for small devices and low power, and remains Intel's smallest chip, built on the company's 45nm high-k metal gate manufacturing process. The overall package, including chipset, just got smaller due to the increasing integration and 45nm manufacturing, which means smaller, more compact system designs, lower costs for OEMs and improved performance.

T-Mobile Germany Selling Unlocked IPhones For €999 Each

Germany is the first country, other than France, to offer an unlocked iPhone. For €999 ($1481/£720), the German citizen can march over to T-mobile and purchase an iPhone devoid of contracts and locks. This is more than double the price of a stock iPhone, which is roughly €399. However, when you think about it, €999 actually isn't all that bad. After the initial €399 cost, T-Mobile iPhone customers are boxed into a 2-year contract. After all fees are said and done, iPhone customers would spend €1575 to maintain two years of service, which they are legally obligated to do, lest they incur early termination fees.

T-Mobile also announced that it would be happy to unlock iPhones already purchased, but did not name a price for this premium service at time of publication.

iPhone In Germany By T-Mobile

Seems that AT&T isnt the only cell phone company to use iPhone after all...T-Mobile has snagged a deal for the handset in Germany as you can all see in the screenshot bellow.
Whether or not this has an effect on Apple's UK network of choice however isn't clear at all.
With the general consensus of opinion that the iPhone will be Europe bound in September or October there should be a press release or even announcement soon.
